We have been here to ski and to hike. We enjoyed both and plan to go back as soon as possible. The staff is very accommodating and the rooms are very clean.

Great experience! Cabins were well maintained, and the surrounding area is lovely. Minus one star because the actual rates are higher than what's posted on the website.

Great place for beginers. Don't expect a high end resort. we took the kids for a day trip and had lots of fun skiing.

The resort only keeps enough equipment on hand for about 75 people to ski/snowboard at one time. On weekends with fresh snow they often run out by 11am. They failed to tell us this despite calling before making the 2 hour drive. You could still get a lift pass if you had your own equipment, but there is not a place to buy or rent within an hour drive. The slope is small, but would be great for first timers. The second rope lift breaks down regularly which puts the lift wait up to 45 min when it is crowded.

This would be a decent place on a weekday but isn't worth it on the weekend. Drive up to Gatlinburg or over to NC and ski at a real resort if you have any level of skill. Definitely call ahead and ask about availability before you make a long drive.
