A majority of the positive reviews on this site are biased and are from the staff. Please, heed the warnings that you see here. Some of these positive comments come as a result of the staff coercing someone to post a positive review. Please, do not believe the positive reviews - for the sake of your wallet and academic progress. Coming to this college was nothing but a huge waste of time and money.
By far the worst college ON THE PLANET. Please, go anywhere else but here. A lot of the credits do not transfer, the staff is rude and doesn't care about you, and a professor at Sinclair told me that they consider these classes to be sub-standard. Don't waste your time or money. The only thing they care about is your money.
I understand that you may want to attend a community college because it's cheaper, but do keep in mind that you only get what you pay for and at clark state that isn't much! Low tuition fees = low quality institution. The professors are not here because they want to ensure the success of their students. They're here to collect a paycheck and enhance the appearance of their resumes.response / report this review -

Clark State will get you training and credentials. What you do with it is up to you. I choose to continue my education and am grateful for the affordable price and quality education available. If you want to you can do more work than is asked of you. You can also read more of the books than what may be required. That is if you want to take your own education seriously. I had to stay up every semester and make sure my financial side was also taken care of. If I could do it again I recommend entering internship work for your field by the start of your second year. Also, always utilize the advisors and staff. Always! If you don't find an answer you were looking for maybe someone else may help solve the problem from within.

Clark State is an incredible workforce and economic development partner to the in Springfield and Clark County. Their aggressive approach to curriculum development and corporate training have become a hallmark of our successes with job growth. I know that when called upon they will produce incredible results but more important I know that they are always working behind the scenes to prepare our workforce for the opportunities that lie ahead. With that, brings a tremendous amount of confidence in their entire organization.

I had a really hard time getting my classes right, Deltoria who works with the advisors took time out of her day to help me. She talked to me multiple times and never stopped helping. Thank you so much.

Heed the bad reviews on this so called, "college". There's a lot of better colleges in the area that treat their students with more respect. The classes aren't that much cheaper here. This place puts the old saying, "You get what you pay for" to rest. Because, here at clark state, you do NOT get what you pay for. You actually get less!
They won't let you resell some your old books because they're "out-of-date". The teachers are unprofessional and do not care about their students. Clark state is a very poorly run joke of school and needs to be shut down. The positive reviews on this site are created by the staff.
There's a teacher here named Ayman Idrees who fraudulently withheld information from me as to why I was kicked out of my program. He's one of the worst things that ever happened to me in my entire life. Be careful, and watch out for this crafty scam artist. I hope you think of my disadvantaged child while you're stuffing your face you disgusting liar.
Don't waste your precious time or money. Go to a real university.
I don't know how Ayman M. Idrees can be such a cruel man. He's an absolute inhumane monster. I have a child to take care of and he still lied to him and withheld information from me. Learn how to treat people like human beings you liar. You really are one of the worst things that happened to me in my entire life you know that?

This college is an absolute joke. Attended for two semesters. First semester wasn't awful, but this second semester has been a disaster. Ended up changing my major, and within the first week decided to opt out of classes. Advisors were rude and were not helpful with this decisions, my major was changed without consulting me- making the change more difficult, was dealing with advisors that were rude and commented on grades and my future plans by putting in their little quips . And the one class I was excited for was moved to the Greene, putting it out of my availability. I was never told of the move because it was an online class originally. This is an absolute joke. Clark State needs to check their priorities and help students out, instead of worrying about actually doing their jobs (what a crazy concept!).

I guess things have changed in 30 years, I got my nursing degree there. Instructors were wonderful. Support staff i.e. student affairs, student financial aid. My whole nursing degree was paid for. It's not all the school's fault, when it was time to try to get financial aid for my daughter. The answer was no way in hell. She's got student loans galore. And like one of the reviews I read, now, and in '86, they didn't make you take classes you didn't need. My daughter has more pre-reqs, than nursing classes. She got her LPN, then transition to RN, took almost 4 years and as much money. I didn't get it, an AD in nursing was for ppl that either could only afford a 2 year school, or didn't have the time. Now AD are taking 3, almost 4 years. We have waiting lists of 2-3 years to get into an AD program. Im disabled now, so don't nurse anymore, but asked my home health nurses, and hospital nurses, why the long wait? They said it wasn't worth the all the money you have to spend to get your MSN, or PhD, to become an instructor, when you can make 3-4X more money working the floor. There is something wrong I'd say.

The people who work here are very rude and can care less about you being successful. I took a class and never received a certification here and have got no reponse from the instructor or school. Don't waste your time here,Sinclair is a much better option.
