Have actually had spectacular experience with the utilities services in Tallahassee. Leaps and bound better than any other town I've ever lived in!

I went on to the website, and set everything up, it was very simply. 2 days later I did a follow up over the phone, to insure that everything was going to be hooked up. I am so sorry I forgot her name, but she was very friendly and helpful. It took less then 5 mins to check everything out.

If there was a rating below one star they deserve it. These people are not willing to help in any kind of way. They told my roommate to pay before 3, which he did, just to tell him that they miscommunicated and it had to be before 1. I've had to sleep in a house with no power at all expecting them to be here in the am at some time but nope that wasn't the case. I called to see when they would be coming today and they said not until 7 pm. These people are the absolute worst. After doing everything they requested of me they could care less if the utilities ever get turned on. If there was any other way I could get utilities I would in a heartbeat. These people are obviously the people who have never heard of customer service ever in their lives. Good luck to anyone starting service with them, you're gonna have tons of fun.

City of Tallahassee has been very helpful while I've been their utility customer. My bills are delivered (and able to be paid) electronically and with one of the better electronic billing systems I've seen. They also bundle water, electric, gas, and trash services so I don't have to deal with multiple utility bills each month. Their representatives are helpful and friendly even if the caller system is a tad cumbersome.

I get home from a trip only to find the entire top pulled off my water meter and multicolored spray paint lines all over my yard. So I call City of Tallahassee utilities and am informed that "there's no message on your account" and no way to find out what the hell is going on. I asked that surely there must be some other number I could call to find out why city crews are ruining my entire yard but am informed again that "there's no message on your account" by the polite, but clueless and obviously outsourced phone bank person. So apparently the City of Tallahassee utilities crews can just randomly swoop in without notice and destroy customer's yards with no explanation and no contact with the customer explaining what work they are doing for what reason. There are also no other contact numbers or website pages where said customer can be informed of such information. Figures. I suppose if I complain they'll send TPD out to shoot me, too. "Oh, I heard a loud noise! I'm off the hook!" This town is a s***hole. Think Detroit, but smaller and with a Southern accent

People live in the tree-hugger's wet dream that is Tallahassee and then complain when they have frequent outages. News flash, trees and power lines don't mix. Yet COT is always responsive when it comes to outages and their customer service is excellent.

Over the decade or so that my family has been in Tallahassee, we've had little to no issues with the utility services.

This place is a freakin ripoff!! NEVER pay your utility bill through the e+mobile app!! It takes a week to process the payment and another week for it to come out of your account!! Don't double pay thinking your taking care of the issue because you will not get your money back!! Zoniece was no help and her supervisor Sheresa was too scared to get on the phone and speak with me after I asked to speak with her. Horrible customer service skills, let the customer explain and don't cut them off. Don't relay messages, just get on the phone and practice those terrible customer service skills!! Stated they wouldn't cancel the charge on their end even though it already posted the first time. If I could choose 0 stars I would. Don't let your title make you feel entitled Ms. Supervisor!! Wouldn't have this problem if you still allowed us to pay at the UPS store!!

So since my roomate won't pay his utility bill when it's under his name I have to start my own account under mine, WELL thanks for understanding talgov, thanks for the 160 dollar start up fee plus the 36 dollar fee for water and power. Yeah went from having to pay too much to a roomate to having to get screwed by the same fees I've already payed because this city is a joke

I've had my power cut off a couple of times before the bill was even due. Plus the bill is never adding up. I've left town every weekend this month but my bill appears to be higher than the months I've stayed at home.

They have a 1.7 google rating. If you work for the city of Tallahassee, especially in higher administration you should be embarrassed. That would include Ricardo Fernandez (City Mgr.) and Andrew Gillum (Mayor). Don't just sit on your ass and spend tax payer monies. I am not a fan.

They have now dropped to a 1.6 rating.I assume it would be less if you could rate a 0. My power is out at least once a month. I've lived in a developing country and we had less outages there over a 2 year stretch.
