Great dinner with friends. I miss read the description of my meal, had something I can't eat, and they graciously remade it!! It was the vegetarian pasta dish, very good. Hubby and 1 friend got the Bleu salmon, both were very happy with it. They loved the biscuits, only comment on that was, if it was honey butter it would have been divine. The French Onion soup was good but just to know has a peppery kick. The waitress did a great job selling dessert. The men got the raspberry peach crumble. Friend got the decadent chocolate cake. All very happy. They also didn't rush us out when we were done. Highly recommend this nice place in Petoskey.

The drink selection was good and the food was also good. The issue my girlfriend and I experienced was the service. The place was packed and they were clearly under-staffed. Our waiter was practically non-existent. This is a reflection of management. It was a warm weekend, like the forecast predicted a week ago. This is a tourist destination. Prepare accordingly.

Very good food and selection. What I had I didn't enjoy. Had absolutely nothing to do with chef or staff. The manager and waiter suspected a problem and ensured I was happy. Excellent customer service. I will definitely visit again.

Friendly staff and cool history. We heard there's tours around noon to show you through the building and fill you in on the building's past. Chicago Burger was delicious (on of my favorite burger places now) and the Short's beer battered fish and chips was excellent - the tartar sauce was unique and tasty too. The warm biscuits with butter before the meal is a nice touch and they are delicious.

She is absolutely amazing. Spot on server from beginning to end. Everything a restaurant wants, everything a customer is looking for. Top 5 servers I've ever encountered.
Food was almost as great as the service. You will not regret this.

Exceptionally attentive staff, fantastic burger, deep beer menu. Came in on a whim and after checking reviews. Well worth it. Quality food and a good value for the money. Dripping in history and ambiance. If you're in Petoskey and aren't sure where to grab lunch, here's your place.

Great place for dinner! Had awesome pretzel breaded whitefish and gumbo. My husband had perch fish and chips and loved it! Will definitely come back :) and the servers are so nice :)
