yeaaaaaa this place kinda sucked ass with the food. Went there for the Tulip festival and ate at the delicatessen since they had a special menu for the festival. And man, did it suck. I was with Dutch people who thought the food was pretty bad as well. I thought the pea soup was passable, but that is all. I tried the meatball sandwich, which was bland, and the pig-in-a-blanket, the sausage was awful.
I think one of my friends tried some of the american food and that was better. So maybe get that when you go there? And I saw they had an ice cream bar as well, where you can pick your flavours and toppings.
The place looks like a diner. Clean and everything but the wait staff wasn't the greatest either. One person waited almost 15 mins after we were all served for his meal, and finally had to go and get it himself.response / report this review -

Its okay, pretty typical food. Nothing too eccentric or out of the ordinary. Great for a quick sandwich or salad. I'll be honest, the toilet was the most intriguing factor in this establishment

I went to this place during the last day of memorial day weekend on the 29th. The worker(maybe she is the owner) recommended us to order this 2 menu, because we are confused what to order. And she is so nice. We talk about our baby was actually 1 months apart. Definitely will be returning whenever i go there

Gone way downhill since the last time we visited. Waited nearly 30 minutes after ordering for a bowl of soup! Tables dirty & not wiped off between uses, floor a mess of water & napkins. The health department should take a look at this place

Well priced for the quality of food and very nice service highly recommend. Kinda of a lunch place but it may take a few minutes to get your food, but I expected that due to fresh home made food.

I definitely visit often, especially in fall and winter. Great vegetarian options, and their seasonal macaroni and cheese is AWESOME. I wish they had it all year, to be honest. Friendly, had-working staff who keep the place clean, neat, and running smoothly. The service is great, and really fast! The prices are very reasonable. Of the sandwich places downtown, definitely my favorite, and the best deal for your meal as well, quality-wise. Not as fast as Jimmy Johns, but not by much. Definitely give it a shot, and don't forget that you can call ahead!
