Delicious food, service could be better but the place was packed so it is understandable. Great place for a casual dinner.

Dinner tonight was outstanding as usual. My wife and I have our anniversary dinner here every year and we are never disappointed. Stephen, our waiter, was helpful and very attentive to our needs.
The atmosphere inside the restaurant is very charming and fitting.
Our only complaint was from the bar service. I ordered a Duvel on tap and the flavor was very off putting. When I mentioned this to Tony the bartender he mentioned it was the last of the barrel. I expected him to make it right but he didn't offer this service. I never finished my ale. I did expect better service.

What an awesome experience we had at Circa 1875 Saturday night flawless food and service the wine was amazing the cocktails were great in fact we had a real good time because we had a hard time recollecting what happened in the night before at any rate and overall incredible experience we will be back I would recommend this to anybody this is a not only a restaurant that's in the heart of the truest District in historic district but it's also a local hot to at any rate and some great history and local folklore about this building as well

No idea why the reviews are so good, this is an ok restaurant with slow service, and why on earth would you fried chicken liver kfc style? The strangest France restaurant I’ve been at.

Last Saturday, a group of 8 friends, dined @ Circa 1885 before a very good performance of the Savannah Philharmonic. The latter was very good but what really made the night was our collective experience at Circa 1885. Great ambiance (even at 5 p.m., because of the Philharmonic start @ 7:30), truly outstanding wait staff, and rave reviews all around for what was served. Circa 1885 is a very special place. They care.

Excellent food and friendly staff made for a great evening out. Originally had reservations for Paula Deen's restaurant, but, stopped in for a beer and never left. (Cancelled our reservations at PD ). Will be back! Melanie and Steve.

The menu claims that they offer French fare without pretention, but I'm pretty sure I got a heaping helping anyway

Food was great. Took a while to get it.

5 star French cuisine and you can wear jeans. Awesome place. All the best food while still being relaxed.

We had dinner here on Saturday night. It was amazing! Amongst the group, we enjoyed shrimp & grits, meatloaf, mac & cheese and the red snapper special. It was all fabulous! I would definitely go back!! Two notes - get reservations and beware there's only one bathroom for the entire restaurant!

Amazing atmosphere and truly great food, but I would not ever consider taking my French friends here. It's definitely more of an aesthetic thing than true French cuisine. Absolutely delicious food, nonetheless!

We visited to celebrate our third anniversary. James was the best server, patient, attentive and knowledgeable. The food was fantastic and his service put the meal over the top. We could not have asked for a better experience.

We love this place. Quaint, casually elegant and the food is outstanding. Onion soup and Coquilles St.-Jacques may be best ever. Love the staff. Many menu treats. Enjoy!
