Enjoyed my visit here, but FYI, you def gotta get a lay of the "land" to figure out what is happening where.
Parking gets packed quick, but you can get creative.
When you walk in, the bathroom are actually past the doors where you go into the brewing area that the tours leave from.
Then there is a bar in the front where you can get your "to-go" beers (which I actually like, cuz I hate it when you are standing at a bar behind the guy that's trying to fill 4 growlers!) and then the big long bar in the back is where you get your draught action.
I did the flight when I came here and was so excited that there were a few cellar releases available to taste.
The bartenders were very quick to take my order and checked on me periodically. I sat directly at the bar, which I am sure helped, but no complaints about service at all. Even got the check relatively fast for a pretty packed and high-traffic bar.
Relished my visit thoroughly as I have been wanting to come here for a while since I have been a fan of several of their brews for years!
I've been to this brewery a couple time. Never disappoints. They always have plenty of beers to choose from. The bartenders are very welcoming, informative and funny.
Went to Tampa to visit all the breweries in town and without a single doubt this is the best in the area. Every single beer i had was excellent. Only negative i have is the to-go bottle prices are a bit much. But hey clearly people are paying it so charge on.
This place is all it's hyped up to be. The beers in the tap room are amazing, and they have stuff you simply won't find anywhere else. The brewery tour is worth it, even though you should book in advance. And the service is excellent as well. Not. To. Be. Missed.
This establishment lets people bring their dogs into the tasting room. While we were there our child was very nearly mauled by a german shepherd. I understand that for many bringing dogs to the bar is considered part of a welcoming atmosphere. However, the bar has no way of knowing each animals personality before it walks through the door. The owners may want to consider breed restrictions. We were fortunate to leave without incident but the next patron may not be so lucky. The beer is fantastic though. 5/5 on beer but 1/5 for the experience.
What an awesome place to go for a nice craft beer! There are so many options on tap that I don't know who couldn't find something they liked! Very chill location as well that is close to good shopping at International Mall if your into it.
Was impressed with the selection and the flights were just the right size. Friendly staff and decent variety of bar snacks
I always leave in a better mood than when I came. Great staff, great brews, keep up the work, all.
Awesome place !! Has an amazing tour and you get to keep the glass. The tour gives 3 decent sized servings of beer and their best selling one as well. The gift shop has bar which sells hand rolled cigars as well as plethora of touristy items to purchase from hats to shirts and some odds and ends. Overall a fun little micro brewery!! #jaxlocalvibes
Did a tour here last week which was extremely informative on the process of beer making, their culture and how they started. It was also nice to taste their different core beers as well to learn what best goes with them!! Would recommend for any beer or history enthusiasts!
I was very disappointed throughout my experience at Cigar City Brewing Company. The food trucks outside were the best part. The wings I got were great and the gentlemen running the truck were friendly. Inside Cigar Scott Brewing though was another experience entirely. The staff was surprisingly rude to my group for reasons unknown to us and didn't have seating to accommodate a group of eight or ten guys which is a bit disappointing.
At one point in the evening a manager of some kind pulled one of us away to check an ID for who knows what reason. Usually this wouldn't be a big deal. I worked at place where I had to check ID. The youngest person in the group was probably 24 or so years old and we were there for a bachelor party weekend so I understand that he was asked to verify his age a second time when we were sitting at our table I suppose. The problem was hat the manager for some reason came over to accuse our group member of being underage despite him showing his valid drivers license to the bartenders. I've never experienced service like that and when shown proper identification the manager didn't apologize and was oddly hostile. I suppose that I understand if he wanted to double check an ID but the entire way it was went about was horrible. The customer was probably embarrassed and the rest of us were taken off guard also.
I regret visiting this location and will never be back. While I'm not a Tampa regular the city has so many places to go that I will chose another establishment whenever I'm in town. This might be a great place and I had an unlucky experience but wow was this place a mess during my visit. The staff was rude, place was packed to the gills, and prices were a bit high.
