Great for a morning stroll or jog. Will see a deer or 2 if your lucky. Great facility which feature a little museum and a lil quiet library with the greatest view in the winter time

Great place to explore nature trails and small ponds. The Nature Center here is free with live animals, aquarium, and exhibits the kids will enjoy. Fish/duck food is available inside the Nature Center for your hike.

Great place to go on a walk or play Pokemon because there are a lot of pokestops. You can see wildlife such as deer. Great place to have professional photos taken.

A wonderful park tucked inside Wichita. Hosts a beautiful praire restoration and a wonderful education center. We've seen turtles, ducks, deer, beaver, herons and hawks. Wonder walking paths and relaxing.

It's a nice park with a few walking paths. Dogs are not allowed. The view is pretty, but not really wonderful. However, for being in the middle of Wichita I highly recommend it as a place to relax for a bit.

We've been to Great Plains Nature Center twice now. Once for a daytime visit and once for the full moon walk. Both times we've really enjoyed it. The trails are nice, paved with plentiful shade. There's birds to see and hear, fish in the ponds, and other wildlife too if you're lucky enough to catch a glimpse. The full moon walk was spectacular. The guided tour was informative and the scenery was breathtaking. The stargazing at the end was a treat as well!

Beautiful this time of year even though the trees have no leaves we still make a point of visiting whenever weather permits. Nice trails but they need repaving.

Absolutely beautiful. An enjoyable place to go walk or pokehunt. The Staff in the Nature Center are very friendly and i highly recommend buying a cone of food to feed the fish and turtles

One of my favorite places to take a relaxing walk or jog. The nature center has long paths through a protected wildlife area. I have seen deer up close, they are not shy at all in this place! Also be sure to check out the free walk in museum!

One of the most expansive, in-city locations to bike, jog, walk, enjoy and view nature. It is very quiet in most parts of the park. There are multiple locations around the park for family or group gatherings with water fountains, easy parking, permanent restrooms, tables, grills, patios & coverings. Paved & unpaved trails wind throughout the park. It would absolutely wonderful if the offices were better funded because they do a number of natural preservation projects, studies, and promotions.the main office also has an indoor natural museum dedicated to native plains animals. Multiple activities are posted in the paper during the year. Some are educational, others are volunteer projects. Overall, a great place to escape for a few hours when in need of a recharge.

The Nature Park Trail is absolutely beautiful! There are a lot of trees to keep the trails shaded, wildlife to watch, benches to sit down with your family and observe or just spend time together. It is one of my favorite parka in Wichita, my children love it as well it's great for all ages!
