Besides having non-stop flights to Florida and Vegas, there is nothing good about this airport. They recently did a remodel and now things are worse. The new parking lot is a nightmare and now they charge for parking. $7/day. They RARELY have the TSA pre-check lane open. The food is terrible and limited options and the bartender (older lady) is extremely rude and unpleasant. & There is not enough room for everyone to be in the bar area. If they were going to expand an area, it should have been adding more seating to that area.

Landed at 4:30 this afternoon on our return Allegiant flight. Sat in the back of the plane so felt sure there would be very little or no wait for luggage. Instead, waited 15 minutes before the carousel started only to watch only half the passengers get their bags. After a long delay when NO bags came out with NO explanation, finally bags started coming out again. By the time my bag arrived, it had been an hour from the time we landed. Parking is now $7 per day, new since January 2018. We had to park in the north lot, which required us to relinquish our ticket at the booth for them to hold. They could not find our ticket upon our return. Thankfully I was still waiting for the bag while my travel companion was dealing with the parking debacle. We love the nonstop flight to Florida, and it is usually cheaper than flying out of Milwaukee, but why it can’t be more convenient is just a shame! We love the Madison airport and wish Allegiant would change its allegiance back there. That small airport has its act together and even though you pay to park, you can choose $6, $8 or $10 per day based on proximity to the terminal. I’ll consider flying out of RFD in the future but with these considerations in mind.

So easy to get in and out of. Usually only 1 flight happening at a time. Free parking but that might change. Very convenient for returning from a vacation of you are a local.

Nice little airport. Way less chaotic than O'Hare and Midway. Free WiFi and free parking are fantastic. Only complaint is that the bar and the duty free store are lackluster. Will probably use this again if Allegiant keeps its act together

After battling crowds ,paying to park and dealing with heavy traffic at O'Hare, this airport is a relief. So much easier to fly . However , I've heard they might start charging to park. That figures , anything to make a buck. May as well change the name to O'Hare Jr. while they're at it. Might have take a star away. We'll see.

Worst airport services I've seen in any small city. No cars available on rental companies. Only 1 taxy company and over 90 minute wait for a taxi. Uber is best to use. The inside of airport is good, friendly staff and good view thru windows to the airplanes.

Excellent small airport, with no hiccups. In and out fast to anywhere you would like to go. Great bar in the terminal area with friendly service while waiting for your flight. Who can ask for more? Free parking and ZERO traffic to worry about like Chicago airports. Flights to Florida were seamless and barely took over 2 hours.

RFD is the ONLY way to go. Friendly TSA agents, quick professional service, free parking, and best of all..no Ohare! We base our Caribbean vacation each year based on availability of RFD. Landed yesterday at 2:20, and thirty minutes later, I was in my car heading home. If at Ohare, we wouldn't have been off the plane in that amount of time. It doesn't get any better than this airport.

WONDERFUL! I've always flown O'Hare, but because I love much closer to RFD, and heard high praise, I decided to try it myself and after my experience, will always try to fly out of Rockford. First off, the place is small (which is a PLUS). Compared to the enormity of O'Hare, RFD is about the size of Best Buy. You can easily park out front to drop someone off, or park in the large lot for FREE!! This is a large savings! True that you're limited to the amount of flights, and destinations, but if you can line up with their agenda, it's worth it.

The workers are very friendly and helpful. This is true of all areas, check-in to security to on-boarding to flight attendants. We flew Allegiant airlines, and the app they use is spectacular. It had all the information we needed, and made it simple to see what extra bags would cost and we added a carry-on bag with the easiest effort. Your boarding pass is on the app, and was very convenient when we needed it. Super impressed with RFD!

Having taken the flight from Rockford to Mesa, AZ quite a few times and it's been such a great experience. Especially since you get to skip out on all of the crowds you see at O'hare! Has been great for me to get back and forth between small airports.
