Excellent food, wonderful service! Verona makes everyone feel at home in this adorable coffee house. The atmosphere is perfect for meeting with friends, or enjoying some time alone to read a book or get some
work done. The energy is artsy, full of love and life. Delicious sandwiches and wraps, salads, and often some down home New Orleans specials, coffee, yummy herbal teas, and scrumptious baked goods! The Chestnut earns five stars from me!response / report this review -

Please be aware that The Chestnut Revival is indeed up & running, continuing to serve delicious food to an enthusiastic community! There is one 1-star review here which states the shop is closed. That is quite untrue! And anyone giving 1-star has Never patronized this terrific little place.
Do not be misled!!
Unexpected, eclectic and cozy place to enjoy remarkable fare in a welcoming atmosphere. Farm to table, delicious original creations by chef / owner, Verona, will surprise & delight. Definitely NOT fast food, so relax, chat, take in the ambiance & enjoy this total experience.
From salads to soups to fresh fish and morethe generous portions will have you too full to move! Scrumptious food, warm welcomes, and a gentle vibe will make your visit more than just a good meal!response / report this review -

I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Chestnut, their staff, and especially their food. Have never been disappointed with any of their food or service. Highly recommend them. When in Hinton stop by. You will never regret it!

We found this lovely place looking for coffee on Google Maps. What a surprise to find this unique in Hinton. Frist off the owner Verona ,wanted to know all are names and where we can from. All the food was freshly make. They even make thier own Mayo and Mustard and sauces. The Vegetables are garden fresh. The four of us all had something different and they were all outstanding. This is truly a must stop. We stopped by the next day on the way out of town. Greeted by out names as we walked in. Also were asked about the people that were with us the day before

I've been coming to the Chesnut on and off for over four years. As such I've seen dozens of changes. But change can be neutral, as much as I desperately miss the scones and quiche Verona has brought food that was previously not in the area. And for many people that trade off is worth it. The Chesnut isn't everyone's cup of tea, but that's ok because they serve food and coffee too.

The menu is funky and changes daily. The owner and staff are simply wonderful. This is not your typical sandwich shop or burger joint.

Chestnut Revival is a true gem! Great food with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. If you find yourself near Hinton, do yourself a favor and stop in!

This lovely restaurant provides an unexpected wonderful taste of New Orleans in Hinton. I had a fabulous blackened catfish wrap that was superb. My father enjoyed his BLT, with a delicious bacon. A large selection of coffees and teas, and a warm atmosphere. The staff made us feel at home, and the service was fabulous. Highly recommended!
