If you want a very challenging course, this one is. For the first time playing here, I really enjoyed it. I would play it again in a heart beat.
Want to try out your skills? Than come out and play your best!!
Played there today. Definitely worth the $35.00. Conditions weren't terrible but definitely not what I expected either with millon dollar homes on the course. Played very well but wasted alot of shots due to never playing there before and just flat out hitting it in the wrong direction or just not choosing the right clubs. Cant wait to play it again now I know a little about the course layout.
Sure still wish it looked like some of the photos I saw online.
This is a beautiful and fun course to play, but the staff they have working here are rude (minus the starter). My playing partner was accused of stealing the cart key by Tyler who worked at the pro shop that morning. Who does that..wtf??? It got to a point where the starter just picked up my buddy from the pro shop and gave us his cart.
This is the 2nd rude encounter with the staff from the pro shop. I understand that it is Sat/Sun morning and they probably would rather be in bed sleeping than working, but they need to learn some manner. I live only 10 mins away but will never play here again.
Pros:
The pga pro on staff is a really nice guy, I've encountered him several early morning rounds and he's always been friendly.
The course conditions are very good, I've played here several times and fairways are well maintained, and the greens are quick. Views are excellent and they do an excellent job maintaining the plant life.
The pricing is pretty fair, especially considering for the quality of the course, I pay between $35-$50 on average.
The food is great!
Cons:
Not really a con but this course is pretty difficult for the average golfer. Albeit, I would say half the course is pretty straightforward and open however If you do not hit the ball straight you will probably lose a lot of balls. There are a decent amount of blind shots that can be tough to track and approaches over ravines. You probably shouldn't play here unless you shoot in the 90s or it might not be very fun.
Great course. It was in wonderful condition. It is quite challenging, but also very exciting with a lot of risk/reward options. We played with a woman as well and her tees were generous, so that was a good feature as well. Definitely want to play this course again now that I've got some experience. Also thanks to Earl and that staff at Champions for the advice and course tips prior to the round. Was great as we were playing the course for the first time.
