Had a great time. Staff was wonderful. Just plain relaxing. Just nice to be on the lake at night.. will be back again.
They were helpful in redirecting us to the Celebration II boat since they were already booked full.
My husband and I took a couple of friends with us on the Fireworks cruise. We had a good time. I was thinking it would be geared toward the older crowd but we were all in our 20's and early 30's and still had a good time. There are several places to sit and they had a full bar on board. The box lunch was good size (large sandwich, chips, and a cookie). It is definitely something we would all do again. Great views of the lake, beautiful sunset, and a great fireworks show.
Very poor experience. The space on the cruise was very limited. One cannot walk on deck freely as they overbook alot. Complimentary food was pathetic. Air conditioning was not good. Fireworks supposed to start from 8:30 but started more than 30 mins late. Spoiled few activities planned post cruise for us
They called at noon to remind us of our evening tour that would begin boarding at 7p. We arrived at 6:45p and all outside seating was claimed. When we asked the Captain his response was "Well, you'd have been at the end of the line anyway!". Rudeness from the first minute of arrival.
One of the attractions we visited while staying in Lake of the Ozarks area. If you are looking to fulfill your day with interesting things, this could be the one of them. It is a nice and slow on the lake cruise with the great view of the coast. Very friendly crew ready to assist and answer all your questions, even the silly ones.
In late July 2016 I took the Bagnell Dam 130 pm boat ride, a two hour ride that seemed like 4 hours when I was wishing it'd be less than 30 minutes long. If you're thinking about taking this cruise, don't do it. It is hugely boring. It is a full two hours of a tedious parade of bland low budget shoreline condos. The captain interrupts the tour with sporadic pointless, dumb comments, notably consisting of facts and stories so old (some going back to the 30s) that you'd think he was catering to the over 80 year old set. His choice of information was so weak that I wondered the whole time if that was the best he could do, in which case, better to say nothing. I can only hope the other cruise line off Jeffries Road is worth it. On a positive note, the only one, I enjoyed the selection of Sirius 70's hits piped in on the intercom.
Staff was friendly and accommodating, the ride around the lake was great, and the time they took to make sure we saw certain stand out things was an added bonus!
Only went on the cruise, was a great experience except my waitress "Nancy" who was incredibly rude and un professional. Besides nancy, the boat ride was very relaxing and had a beautiful sunset when we were returning. Everyone else that was working was very polite and friendly. Would give it four stars but nancy devalued my experience.
Take your date here!! I went on the evening cruise! It was a wonderful time!! So relaxing and a great crew!
I'm giving this cruise two stars and that is ONLY for the stateroom attendants who are EXCELLENT in keeping the rooms clean and smelling fresh and fully stocked. The room was nice and we had an ocean view. I have nothing nice to say about the rest of my experience. The rest of the staff just wanted you to buy there overpriced items and have no real people skills. The upper management staff is aloof and unapproachable. The food was average, not a very good selection unless you wanted to get dressed up and told when to eat. I don't think it is fair to be told to dress up for dinner when you are on a vacation cruise. The shows were cheesy and boring. The activities were made for old people. The worst was the OVERCROWDING! There was a line for EVERYTHING. I would not recommend this cruise to anyone. Norwegian is still the best.
