Features different trails featuring natural American history about the Flint Hills, has a museum with reptillians and other animal species. Is a great place for a date it you both have an appreciation for the outdoors. Facilities are stellar, employees are kind and helpful. It's a great place to explore with friends or by yourself if you prefer to be alone. Some people bird watch here.

Cons: There's no marker to Bethany Falls Trail from the Nature Center, so we were really confused where to turn. We saw an open grassy area and headed toward the tree line. Once we were on the trail, we were again confused if we were on the right trail because the website says it's mulch-covered, but a good part of the trail is actually gravel. Maybe I missed it, but didn't see any "falls" either.

Pros: Having said all that, I still loved the experience and would go back. The kids had a blast jumping on the limestone boulders, and the hands-on outdoor classroom is a pretty neat activity for the kids. The Nature Center was closed when we were there (Sunday), but I'm sure it's a nice and informative place to visit when it's open. We'll probably go back and try other trails.

Great place for kids to explore and its free. Lots of trails to experience nature. The nature center has various displays with hands on activities and some live animals. This is worth a visit for sure.

I'm a full time nanny and take my kids there all the time plus I have been going since I was a baby. The little boy absolutely loves the snakes, turtle And fish. The staff there is extremely friendly and always very courteous and willing to help anybody who needs it. The tracks are great and very well maintained for people who are incredibly picky and want perfectly kept trails, this is definitely the place to go.

The nature center is quaint and very educational. The staff is always courteous and willing to answer any questions. There are some reptiles and a large fish tank and a play area for kids. The play area is adjacent to the bird-watch space which is quite lovely for parents.

There are many programs/events offered, appealing to a variety of ages. Behind the nature center is an outdoor classroom and a short trail. This is just one of many trails offered here, and they range in time rewired and skill level to suit whatever amount of time you are working with. The trails are well kept but the nature is generally left untouched.
