Super clean! Not crowded either! I bring my one year old and he loves it its great to take pictures here. Very relaxing
Quiet beach. Not much games or entertainment, just beach. So if you want more excitement there's not much here. I like beaches with lots of shops so that's personal preference behind the 4 stars
One of the best beaches I know of for lounging, playing or picnics. Also a short walk to a lovely playground which was nice for mixing up beach days with the kids.
This is a favorite camping beach of mine. The paths over the dunes now are much better than it used to be. The sunsets here are stunning.
Lots of room to park and there are fields of grass before the beach for extracurricular activities like flying drones. Enjoy the beach atmosphere and culture. The sun liner train also stops a few blocks away.
Good for families but look out for the tar. As they like to say, the beach is pretty safe because it doesn't get much in waves but there is a lot of tar in the sand. There is a nice assortment of restaurants, breweries, and shops along the main Street leading to the beach but the beach itself is doesn't compare well to other on southern California.
Great beach with lots of things to do. Very family friendly. There are volleyball courts, a large grass field, lots of beach space, and camping grounds. The town is also fun to just walk around. One of my favorite beaches in California.
It's a nice beach. We've been going here annually for a decade now. I HATE the tar that gets on EVERYTHING, but it's usually not overcrowded, unlike lots of other SoCal beaches. The town is very cute, very small, and very cozy. The lifeguards are nice, there is a restroom on the northern end, but recently the rinsing stations have all been turned off. And, as always, the water is perennially cold. So while it's not my favorite beach on Earth, it's a great place to visit for a little R&R.
Lovely beach. We got there mid-afternoon and all the parking was gone, but we found street parking. We stayed in the beach ALL day long. It was awesome. You can bring grills to cook-out up on the dunes, and there is a RV park attached to the beach. There was also a life guard on duty.
Amazing locals, a beautifully clean beach. There is a very rare sense of small town comfort here. The restaurants are all quite good. The Siam Elephant in particular is a Gem all it's own and a highlight to a beautiful day at the beach. The town and beach are known for their safety and cleanliness. A must visit for anyone looking for their new go to beach town. Very Family oriented. Please visit and leave it as beautiful and clean as it was before you arrived.
Beautiful, small town on the beach. Plenty of options for food and drink. Great for rvs and camping.
"World's Safest Beach". Great Camp sites at the waters edge and close to downtown. You can't beat it!
Love this beach. Always have such good memories here . I built my long lasting friendship here with my best friend for 12 years. Come here with anyone or just yourself.
This was a beautiful beach to visit. The sand was smooth and clean, the we lots of awesome seashells, jellies, and kelp to examine, and we could see dolphins just of shore. There is also a nearby campground. Not the most gorgeous vistas ever, but peaceful and exactly what we hoped it would be.
One of the best RV parks I've ever visited. Facilities are excellent clean showers and toilets. Other guests were respectful too. We sat on the shore with a cold beer watching the whales migrate north and they put on one hell of a show too. Would love to get back here one day.
