Some visits are better than others. The pricing is a bit much, but if you join AMC stubs the perks and freebies make it a better value. It's really only worth it if you really want to see the movie or are having a date night at mugs and movies. The nearest alternative would be in Savannah though
Good place. Always stocked with what I want. The mini churros are good, you get them with whipped cream and a strawberry. Love the arrangement of the soda dispensers note, you can get your own drinks.
Excellent all around. I am amazed they now sell actual meals for decent prices and alcohol though I do not know what the prices are yet for those items. Excellent service and cleanliness as well. Comfy seats and cup holders too.
Wanted to see a movie that was "sold out." Friends were in the movie said it had plenty of seats. We went to the front desk, and told the guy we were willing to pay, and that our friend said there was plenty of room. He encouraged us to sneak in we said we didn't want to do that. He told us to follow him, so we did thinking he was going to speak to the manager. When we followed him into the "mugs and movies" he ran away and then we got accused of sneaking in. We told the ladies that accused us we were willing to pay, we just wanted to see the movie. They said that there was no way we could get in the movie once it's "sold out." We did not appreciate how we were treated, they seemed like they didn't want another customer that would be a bother. I never had this problem with Carmike. Then, this new theater comes in and has rude employees.
Service is TERRIBLE long, wait in line and when you finally get to the front of the line the staff is unfriendly. Went there earlier today and the theater I was in was so hot it was miserable oh and don't forget about the price of your ticket WAY over priced!!
Mugs and movies is such a great experience. Food and service is excellent! 10 times better since AMC took over. There are renovations in progress, and I'm excited to see what new improvements take place in the coming months.
The service really makes this place worthwhile. In our theater, the movie actually stopped a few times and had to be worked on to start. The venue is being remodeled, so you can deal with a little. The servers did apologize and give us discounted tickets for another try. This had been my second time having an issue with the location. Hopefully it can improve soon.
Paid to see Wonder Woman in standardpreviews were good qualitylast preview was in 3-Dthen, a 3-D movie beginsplays for 3 minutes. Then screen goes blank for about 2 minutes and finally the correct movie starts..During it, I felt as if I were watching a VHS movie with tracking issues hooked to a superb sound system. Also, the screen itself has a 3-4 foot smear that, I guess, no one else has noticed. After speaking to 2 managers who did offer passes (which I declined---not looking for a freebie), I pointed out that AMC has the $$ to fix issues such as faulty equipment.so, fix them.
Awesome big burgers with lots of fries. Seemed a little pricey at first, but for a restaurant quality bacon ranch cheeseburger it really wasn't too far off the price range. I recommend trying it, we were pleased.
Saw Wonder Woman in thier Mugs n Movies theatre. Always awesome to watch movies in there. Anytime you can order food and drink directly from your seat, it's awesome.
We attended a showing in the mugs and movies theatre, and I have previously seen films here when this was a Carmike cinema. AMC has raised the prices and gotten rid of drafts, making the dine in service and drinks far too expensive for this market. The food is only ok, the service is good, but the prices are ridiculous. 5 bucks for a domestic bottle, 10 bucks for a mixed drink, and 12 bucks for a burger put this experience way out of reach for the college crowd here, and any responsible adult knows much better food and drinks can be had five minutes away for half the price. Had I known the severity of the price increase since the change in ownership beforehand, I would have taken my wife and kids to eat prior to the movie. It's really a shame, as mugs and movies was a great deal when I was in college here, with cheap drafts and affordable food, but from now on, we'll just watch the movies in a regular theatre until AMC realizes their national prices don't make sense in rural GA.
College Students would love it. Great Date night event especially with the reclining chairs in the dine in movie theatre. You can eat , drink ( yes to the alcoholic beverage ) and even order pizza.
Great prices and they have food+ticket specials on certain days , but you'll have to go in to see for yourself ! *tuesdays are a great choice
Ticket prices are reasonable but don't waste your money on concessions or Mugs n Movies. Since AMC bought out this theater, service sucks, menu has been cut in half and prices are outrageous!!!!!!!! We loved going to Mugs n Movies when it was owned by Carmike but will not return after the way we were treated today. The waitress was blatantly rude and they didn't have half the food on their, now very limited, menu. When I asked "what do you have" after being told 4 things we wanted to order they were out of, the waitress asked me "want me to just bring you a menu of what we don't have?" I will never spend another dime in an AMC theater and don't know how long they will last considering word of mouth is a powerful thing and the fact that they have raised their prices in a college town where students have limited fundsmay your doors close faster than than your prices are high!!!!!
