  Disappointed that I have to post negative review of Carmichael Garage Door. We have used the company multiple times over the last 30 years. We have since learned the company has been sold, and the new company hires out independent contractors. Thus, its a gamble if you get an honest repair person. Recently we had a technician over to do a maintenance which included dealing with a squealing sound. The technician was not transparent with us, he proceeded to replace all the wheels on the door and then charged us over $299 for parts, plus labor. A total bill of $428!!! A quick Google search show that the parts should’ve cost less than $100 and in retrospect, I doubt we even needed them. Of course we called the company . They admitted the technician had not been transparent but only reduced the bill by $40, stating he should have given us a senior discount!!! So another failure by the technician. We discussed that a Google search show that the parts cost much less than $350, but they refused to lower the bill. With further argument they agreed to send an invoice showing how much they paid for the parts. However they never provided it. That in itself is saying something. We are now having to dispute the bill through our credit card company. Stay away! Find a different company if you need a garage door repair or replacement.

  By far, bar none, the best experience I’ve had with any handyman. Alex was professional, fair, and fast. Love our new garage door and would and will recommend him to anyone who needs help with their garage door. Top notch!

  Ben is knowledgeable friendly and professional. Gave me all the options and got my very old Genie garage door opener working great in no time flat. I am a bit nostalgic about the garage door opener so thanks! Will use the next time for sure!

  Mike did a wonderful job replacing our garage door opener and fixing the rollers on the door. The door and opener are now so quiet, I hardly hear the door open. Mike made sure my new opener controls opened both my garage doors and made sure my Homelink worked in both cars. I highly recommend Carmichael Overhead Door for their great service
