What a nice place! The actual rooms are small but the Inn has a great room with large TV, fireplace, pool tables where you can entertain yourself if you'd like. Complimentary beverages also available in this area. Breakfast was fantastic! The Inn has a variety of outdoor equipment so you can take advantage of the lake and surrounding trails. Would definitely stay again!

We stayed here for a long summer weekend many years ago and had a wonderful time. Most of the other guests were 40-somethings like us and we all clicked very well and had delightful evenings playing pool and enjoying the perpetually stocked beer and wine fridge.

We just stayed for a long winter weekend and had a different but no less delightful time. Most of the other guests were in their 20s this time. All were very friendly, but we had the recreation room to ourselves most evenings, which was fun.

The innkeeper Mary is awesome, as were all of the staff that we encountered. Very attentive.

They upgraded the complementary beverage selection to include craft beer, in addition to mass-produced beer, red wine, white wine, and delicious port that is added in the evening.

The breakfasts are gourmet and are out of this world.

The entire facility is amazingly well maintained and comfortable, and the history of the building and grounds is very interesting.

They provide all sorts of recreational equipment, from boats in the warm weather, to cross country skis and snow shoes for winter. We had a fantastic time snow shoeing.

Thanks to Mary for an amazing 4 days, we can't wait to return!

This was an excellent bed and breakfast which had additional amenities that made the stay feel like home. It is close to the state parks if you like hiking and walking distance to a quiet dock to put into the Deep Creek Lake. Smores are served every night at the fire pit.

Beautiful location, close to everything you'd want to do. The inn has so many activities provided for you to chose, from canoes to snow shoes to mountain bikes. The innkeeper Mary is absolutely amazing and helpful, and is there for you as much or as little as you would like.

My wife and I had an amazing anniversary weekend, and I can wholeheartedly recommend Carmel Cove for anybody looking for a relaxing or romantic trip.

The once monastery, turned bed and breakfast boasts a beautiful atmosphere and a hidden gem among deep creek. They offer a different selection of rooms but we stayed in a premier room which was beautifully decorated and had a whirlpool tub that felt perfect after a long day hiking. Joe was our innkeeper and he was divine. He paid attention to all the details and even remembered it was our anniversary. His recommendations for things to do see and eat were on point and helped a lot especially since it was our first time at deep creek. We can't wait to go back next year if not sooner.

My boyfriend and I took a trip to the inn to get a break from city life. Mary the innkeeper was welcoming and genuine. We were given a tour of the inn, and recommendations for sightseeing and dining. We went to a great seafood restaurant called Dutch’s, and Mountain State Brewery, a great local brewpub. We spent our first evening relaxing in the common room enjoying complimentary wine before making s’mores at the bonfire outside. The inn provided us with all the essentials for biking, fishing and canoeing and made for an afternoon of fun activities around the lake. Coming back to our cozy and intimate bedroom with a view of the woods was exactly what we were looking for after an action-filled day. The gourmet breakfasts, served in the quaint breakfast room each morning, were exceptional! Loved the crepes and strawberry hotcakes. The staff was super helpful and the place was kept very clean. My boyfriend and I had a peaceful, special, lakeside vacation, and left feeling like family. We’ll be back!

We are repeat visitors and have spent several long weekends there over the last couple of years. We have met three different innkeepers-only one I wasn't crazy about.
We have found the service to be of a consistent high quality. I asked for a lot of extras; towels etc. and was always satisfied. Our room was comfortable,we felt free to spend time in the common areas - breakfast was always great. I really loved being able to wander in and have a glass of wine anytime I wanted. We have stayed in other places in the Deep Creek area but now just at Carmel Cove. Summer is especially nice because we can take the boats out and swim from the dock. Deep Creek was always a vacation destination for my family growing up and I am pleased that I can keep visiting and enjoying it. I have met the owner and her family and I think it's a nice sincere family business. I recommend it.

My girlfriend and I went down for the weekend and we loved it! The Inn and the grounds are beautiful, our bed was large and comfy, the new fireplace in our room was an added bonus. Our favorite parts were probably the breakfasts - homemade blueberry pancakes, parfaits, sweet sausage. We didn't take advantage of a walk near the lake, but the innkeeper directed us to Swallow Falls State Park, which was a few miles away and awesome for sightseeing. They had a ton of brochures which allowed us to plan our weekend (we ended up going snowtubing at Wisp), and played some billiards, enjoyed complementary port and wine, and watched some movies they provide in their activities room. We enjoyed it and definitely hope to return for future trips!
