Unfortunately wasn't a fan of the grub at Captain Woody's. The whole table got something fried (starting with Fried Pickles) and we were all in the same boat with a heavy fried meal that makes you feel gross - and didn’t taste too great to make it worthwhile. Cool scene in the restaurant (even with the patio seating closed because it was too cold), but the food was just “eh” at best.

Why bother to go out on Hilton Head Island when Captain Woody's is close by? Always busy, this attraction has people coming from near and far. We tried the Trigger Fish dinner, and it was very tasty. A first for us.

We love this place! The last time I was here was to get a gift card for my favorite coworkers, because they love it too.

A lot of places will do a decent shrimp and grits, but this was the best I've ever had. It was so good that I'd come back and try some other dishes also. Friendly service. Kid friendly. Not a lot of seating in the A.C., so with fans on the patio it was pretty hot, but doable. It is shaded. Definitely want to come back! Menu has a lot of variety with a number of items looking tasty.

We did not have reservations for brunch today, but were quickly able to be seated at the bar. Great, friendly service. Comfortable, casual atmosphere. Terrific mimosas. The Fried Flounder platter was hot and delicious with very ample portions. The Fried Clam Po' Boy was tender, yet crispy with great home made chipsall in beautiful, historic Old Town Bluffton.

We love to get off the island. Downtown Bluffton is such a cool place and Woody's is a great treat. I get the shrimp and grits. The staff is exceptional. The food is way better than pub food, but not linen table cloth either. I look forward to coming back often

I loved Captain Woody's. The shrimp were perfectly breaded, plump and flavorful. Would go there again! My friend had the crab cake and she said it was one of the best, if not the best, she'd ever had. The service was amazing and it was a busy 4th of July day!

We sat outside and had a delightful lunch while watching the tourists. Shrimp was very fresh and well breaded. The seasoned French fries were almost breaded and crispy. Our servers were very attentive but the atmosphere was relaxed.
It was farmers market day and the town was busy. We ate at 12:30, yet they turned around the meal quickly.response / report this review -

Fast and affordable food at fair prices. I had shrimp and scallops for just over 20 dollars and couldn't even finish it all! Our order was taken and our food was served in about 12 minutes hot and fresh! The hush puppies were great!!!!

The service was prompt and our server visited our table just enough to make sure we had what we needed without hovering. The food was fantastic. The bathrooms were also really clean. I have no complaints other than the fact that they have battered fries, but that's just a personal preference.
