Was a VERY busy night during Christmas week. So they were slammed busy, food did take some time but that was expected. Waitress was beat, didn't catch her name but she looked to be the veteran of the crew. Had our table of 8, another of 12, and (didn't count) a table of 20 or so. She was great, never apologized for the kitchen being slow but made jokes about it. Always had a smile on her face and was extra attentive to my 4, 8, and 12 year old. The food was good, wasn't stellar. Was no complaints from anyone. Had my favorite beer on tap plus waitress pushed a 3 star to 4.

Food was very good and fresh. The people were very nice and the drinks were fine. They had a good selection of high end specialty liquor but could use more import beers. Great atmosphere but the place was dirty and the menus and tables were sticky and need a good scrubbing. Floor managers need to be on top of the servers more. The place needs some additional led lighting it was a bit dark and yellow light. Overall good just needs a good cleaning.

I absolutely love this place, for the scenery. Their burgers are good and rum runners are typically pretty goodbut its the scenery that is what really makes it worth it! The waitress this time kept forgetting us, and it wasn't busy. The food was mehbut we saw a dolphin playing in the river 20 feel from us, so that made my day :)

*Gotta try the Fish Nachos, they are total food fusion in such a fun way.
*Mussels are great. Peel n eat shrimp are good, (seasoning is a bit spicy)
*Right on the water, (you can even dine in the water)
    *Great customer service
    **Dogs ARE allowed

-Only thing I found weird was that all of the food dishes exclude any sides, not even fries. No veggies either.

We ate at the Sunday brunch buffet and they had a nice selection of items. I think that is the first time I had shrimp and eggs for breakfast. Nice view of the water. The wait staff were very pleasant. If you are staying at the hotel you get a discount.

Took my grandkids there for lunch, I thought it would be nice to sit outside by a water, we ordered a fish and chips, 2 tacos and a cheeseburger plate with drinks, my bill was $63 dollars, I thought that was kinda outrageous, I won't be going for lunch anymore, the food was good

This is a fun place. Indoor and outdoor seating. Riverfront views. Frequently music, sometimes outdoor concerts. My brother Dan played here with Lights Out Project before he passed away. Food runs the gamut from sandwiches and tacos to a full dinner menu inside. I had shrimp tacos the other day and they were very good. Capt. Hirams is a full service resort, hotel rooms across the street too. Full bar. We love a Saturday or Sunday afternoon here.

Rode in on the boat for breakfast and to watch a rugby game on TV. The breakfast cocktails are really good, as is the food. Very relaxed atmosphere. My friends and had a great me watching the game.

Friendly atmosphere we came for lunch today. Our party had fried shrimp platter, Mahi tacos, and crab cake sandwich. Everything was delicious and our server came back often to refill drinks and check on us. We have been coming here for years and my parents always bring out-of-town guests here.

We didn't dislike the place, it was just extremely busy, hard to get waited on. When your drinks did come the waitress rounded up to the nearest dollar. If it was a 3.25 drink she charged $4. When asked about it we were told management doesn't issue quarters. Kinda honey. I'm a good tipper but don't help yourself!

Captain Hiram's is a destination. It is a resort. Not a club Med but a resort none the less. The food, which is why we visited, is good not great, but when you serve SO many people its tough to be great. The beach bar is a lot of fun, and the day we were there the had live entertainment.
