If we are within 90 minutes of this restaurant we make our way to it. It is my favorite Seafood restaurant in Florida. LOVE IT! We have been going for over 25 years, even had dinner there the night we became engaged (many moons ago). The place is beautiful with great service. The view is amazing and the food is spectacular. Plan on a long wait time or go at off hours.

We have also gone on there sunset cruise. It was beautiful and fun.

Next we want to try the dinner cruise on the Lady Anderson. Sounds like a fun night.

Oh, if you like pecans you HAVE to try the Fued cake. Yummm

Long-time local favorite. The place to go in PCB for seafood and steaks. Some Greek influence in the menu. Great desserts. Great service. Deep family commitment to quality, service, and community involvement.

The first and last time! The glass of wine had lipstick on it. The waitress did not acknowledge my Big Pink It's My Birthday ribbon on. The lobster was cold. The waitress very cold and looked Right through us as we was not there. The hostess had to get permission to seat us. Not like there was no tables! We were dressed better than some of the people that was in there. If you are not the right color you are not welcome!!!!!!!!!!! I know the server's Make their money from tips. They need to work on their customer service!!!!!

We had a rather large group, they were happy too accommodate us!

Our group had 30+ people not one complaint, and believe me veterans complain about everything!!!
    I know because i am a veteran;)

The food is excellent! However, the decor is very outdated. Service was slow, but they were busy. It is a place where locals visit and make sure you are dressed well! No shorts or jeans here, everyone was dressed up! Not a sure why with outdated decor and dusty wall fixtures. But, if you show up in shorts or jeans, you definitely will get some looks like you don't belong!

Pretty disappointing for a $160 meal for three. Steak was overcooked, lobster was cold. Was sent back and returned rubbery. Tuna steak made our vegetarian daughter sick before we left the restaurant. Grilled shrimp and Parmesan Oysters were pretty good. Staff and atmosphere were great. Overall, I'd give it a 2.8. Maybe we will give it one more try before marking it off our list of places to recommend to friends/family/tourists.

We had the best dinner here while on vacation in PCB! Dennis S was the best server we have ever had! He was very knowledgeable about the whole menu & talked me into getting my steak medium well when I usually get it well done..it was DELICIOUS! My mom got the grouper & it was even better than the steak, that's what I will get next time for sure! Thanks Dennis for thr great service! We will be back.

Waited just under an hour to be sat at a table so dark, I couldn't even read the menu, and when I asked the waitress if she could turn more lights on (and pointed at the ceiling at lights that were either not on or burnt out ), she said she didn't think that it would do much good! So, I had to get up and move to the very end of the table to read it. This meant I was facing the swinging kitchen doors and the counter where the waiters and waitresses were placing their orders and picking them up - not a great view by any means. This table was also facing at an angle different than all other tables, and got bumped a few times. I would have gladly waited a few minutes longer for a better seat. I wanted to move, but my daughter and husband didn't want to wait any longer for another one.
My daughter ordered her steak medium well and when she received it, at least 80% of it was burnt charcoal black on top served this way! I honestly can't believe the waitress even served it, but they were extremely busy. I have never seen a medium well steak burnt black like charcoal, and I am not exaggerating. I wanted my daughter to send it back, but she said it said right on the menu they are not responsible for over cooked steaks! I watched her painfully cut around it and eat very little of it. When I said something to the waitress about the medium well steak being burnt charcoal black, she told me the person that normally cooks the steak wasn't there.
We live in Ohio, and this place was recommended by a friend, so I was very excited about going. We normally don't spend this kind of money on dinner, but it was our Splurge dinner. I don't mind paying a little more than usual for an extra special meal, but after being set back almost $140.00, for the experience we had, I could have cried. It was a very expensive mistake. I'm sure other people have a great time here, but with our personal experience, we will not be returning, and I kindly told our waitress that also.

    Hi Jimmy,

Thank you for your response! I hope you see this because I am not able to answer back to you other than editing this. We were there on 6-13-17. Our server was Misti E.
And no, she did not remove it from our bill. I can call you to discuss this if you prefer.

A PCB staple and it's just as good now as it was when I was a kid. Great service and food. Can't go wrong with Captain Anderson's!

I've been coming here off and on for over 25 years and this was the worst visit so far. The fact there wasn't any wait at 7-8pm on spring break should have warned me that the place isn't like it used to be. We were sat in a room I've never seen before, it looked like a recent addition, but there were no windows, no decor like the original parts of the restaurant, and it was brightly lit up like a school cafeteria. The main reason I come here is for atmosphere and closer to "fine dining" than you get from most other beach restaurants. It's only been a few years since last visit, but the menu was even different in that is was not in a leather menu, but just a laminated menu with pictures like any cheaper place on the beach. I asked to move to one of the original rooms with some "atmosphere " and they first said would have a 15 min wait which was fine, but then they said they had a table ready and they sat us at the back table in the traffic areaat this point I was over it. Food was ok, but I could have got the same quality food for half the price. Like I mentioned I mainly come for service and atmosphere, and I'm willing to fork over $150-$200 ( for my fam of 5), but never again. I'll go to 10 other very nice beach restaurants and spend half the price! Capt A not what it used to be!

We had a great experience at Capt. Andersons and left FULL! We visited during Spring Break and surprisingly we're seated fast. Our server was friendly and the food was delicious. Couldn't ask for a better meal in PCB. After dinner we walked over to all the boats docked for the night.

Yes, it is famous. No, it is not great. Oil and butter are the dominant features of every dish, so while the selection of seafood is amazing, none of their treatments bring out the subtleties of the food. Little creativity seems targeted to the retired crowd. Service was excellent.

Dennis S. was our server, and his service was outstanding. Frequent visits and a drink was never empty. Knows the menu and feedback of the menu will. Great recommendations. The food was perfect. I ordered a New York Strip and it was one of the best sirloins I have ever had. My wife had the grouper and said it was 5 star as well.
