I can’t compare Candlewood to any other lodging because I have yet to find another comparable experience in all my travels. From the physical cabins to the ever-so-charming hosts, you are in for a very special treat.

Is this some kind of marketing ploy? There is no way every one of these is booked everyday for the next one to two years. If they were these people would be buying land and building more cabins constantly. This is a nothing location, boring town in the middle of nowhere. Beyond weird.Drop the act and let people plan ahead. Also if it was that busy wouldn't there be more than 18 reviews. Note to owners if this week magically there is a cancellation for April 1 through 3 this year then I will remove this review.

Managed to book a reservation for the meadow house due to someone's last minute cancellation. Have always wanted to stay at candle wood, but we were worried that we had built it up too much in our minds. Not the case. The property is beautiful, and the back accommodations were even better than we had imagined.

I found this little gem super last minute for my 40th birthday. The owners are amazing and interactive. They had everything you could imagine needing in the kitchen. I was so thrilled by the lack of bugs in the cabin. Not a spider in sight. We all loved it and including my dog. She was a bit pissed about not sleeping in the bed with us, but the policy stated no animals on the furniture. However, I brought her bed along, but that simply would not do for her. 😒 Can't wait to go back again. Next time I want the glass house for just me and my lover. Dog and family stay behind next round(maybe).

Great quaint cabins nestled into hills and valleys. Visited in winter and it was picturesque. Very fairly priced for the accommodations. Wood burning stoves and comfy beds. Would definitely go back!

We stayed in the log cabin and enjoyed every minute of it! Very relaxing and peaceful. The cabin is equipped with everything you need including games to play and books to read. Sitting on either the front or back porches listening to nature was fantastic. The wood burning stove was my favorite part and it heated the cabin very well. We highly recommend staying here and can't wait to stay in the other cabins.

I don't even know where to begin. One of the most amazing vacations of my entire life. We stayed in the Meadow House. It was existential, soul quenching and indescribable. The views are absolutely breathtaking, and the whole area is just gorgeous. The stargazing is perfect. There is so much to do in the area, but honestly I could have stayed the entire time in my cabin and been in complete bliss. I have never come back from any vacation feeling more relaxed, recharged and in tune. The owners are amazing and beautiful people. I will definitely be back.

Dont pay attention to the one negative review. This place is amazing and the owners aren't sitting by the phone 24/7 because they are out on the property making it look beautiful for their guests. When we were there the husband was working his butt off outside. He was also incredibly friendly. This retreat is one of the most gorgeous, peaceful places you will ever visit. DO keep an eye on that calendar though.they book FAST because its such a wonderful place!

Do not even try to book the glass house. Not only will you get a busy signal every time you call, but when it does ring no one picks up. Staff has a poor way of managing/booking their properties.

We just finished our second visit. This time we were at the Meadow House. We were a group of four, perfectly accomodated. The views are amazing beds are super comfortable and kitchen is just enough to cook mostly anything you want. Owners are very friendly and willing to provide anything from towels to firewood in a minute's notice. We're already looking into booking again 1 year in advance!
