Definitely worth going if you are in the area during the avocado festival. Lots of delicious guac, live music, and avo beer down at Island Brewing.
Great avocado festival held each year in the town of carpenteria. They have free entertainment and plenty of good food and drinks for sale. The y do sell avocados and avocado dishes. It encompasses about four street blocks in the town.
Avocado everything! Great music, food and vibes. Check out Island Brew Company it's the bomb
I had fun here. I was my first time attending and visiting Carpinteria. I got there at 11 am on Sunday and it wasn't too busy. Parked in the school lot and took the shuttle over. There were cute things to see and good food to eat. By the time I was leaving, it was too busy for comfort and the lines were getting long. I wish there were a few more unique avocado things and foods and that it was a little bigger or spread out, which is why I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5.
Three days of great music, avocado theme food and small community funI can't imagine missing this wonderful salute to agriculture. Lots of fun for the little ones, too. They had their own music venue and even a tractor-driven ferris wheel!
I've been coming to the Carpinteria's Avo Fest for 20 years! There's always great food and free entertainment in Carp., a beautiful beach town.
Great small town atmosphere with tons of food, music, arts and crafts, and a kids fun zone. The beach is 4 blocks from the end of the festival zone. Music in three different locations from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. each night. Go once, you'll be back.
Loved the vibrant energy flowing throughout. Had great Brazilian food and took home amazing Reed avocados. Must see, take a some one special here next year.
Avacado ice cream was good!!! Was fun walking around. Had fun music and vendors.
I was expecting more of a culinary exposure to some great avacado dishes and perhaps a variety of guacamole to try. However there were very few avacado dishes to choose from. More basic run of the mill food truck food. The beer stations were in the middle so the lines were long as usual, but blocked the main walkway. This caused unnecessary crowding. I was truly hopeful for more of a focus on avacados, but it could have been a festival for anything.
If you have small children is a GREAT place for them! FREE to get in great people and allot of fun, there is usually a few live bands as well. Always have had a great time there, I wish I would have known about this place when my kids were smaller, worth the drive, no matter where you live! Allot of good food as well, and of course there are great avocados to buy!
