One of the best places to eat in Royal Oak. The food is wonderful. I have yet to have a bad meal or bad service there.

Good service. Good food. French toast was tasty, vegan sandwich was good. Good coffee. Caramel vodka apple cidar was absolutely bland.

Great place for brunch. The staff is really nice. I appreciate that they have vegan options.

One of the best places for breakfast and lunch. New approaches to traditional food. My scrambled eggs and salmon was excellent.

Had been to Cafe Muse in the past, so when my sister and I were in Royal Oak yesterday, I suggested we stop for lunch. What a disappointment! Despite the fact that the place was nearly empty, we had to wait to be seated, because we couldn't find anyone. A customer who wanted to pay her bill was having the same problem. I ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes, which I had enjoyed in the past. What I got were thin, almost crepe like "pancakes" that were hard around the edges. Also, someone was heavy handed with cinammon - that was pretty much all I could taste. My sister ordered a BLT on sourdough bread - what she got looked like the end pieces of the loaf. A pretty scrawny sandwich, especially since they charge $11 for it. Service was slow - very slow. There are a lot of restaurants in Royal Oak - do yourself a favor and choose some place other than Cafe Muse. I know I won't be back, and I intend to tell people to stay away.

My family has been a devoted customer of Cafe Muse for over 5 years, often going for brunch. We have noticed a huge change in the last year between staffing, and occasionally, the food. The servers have continually gone downhill in service but we have continued to go for the fresh and better quality food. This last visit has solidified our decision to find a new restaurant staple. We sat for 20 minutes without even a drink order being taken until I finally approached the hostess to ask if we had been assigned a waitress. Claudia (the only awesome and dependable waitress) immediately came over, apologized, and said that although she would not be our waitress she would be happy to take our drink order. Once our assigned waitress took our order we did not see her again until it was time for the check. No coffee refill, no asking if our food was ok (it was cold), nothing. Nope, we have no plans to go back, which makes me very sad.

I have been here a few times for breakfast and brunch. It is charming, delicious and the service is excellent. A good place to take someone new but also a great place to take your mother.

They will do takeout for the odd morning where you really need pancakes but don't have time to sit down trust me, once you've had their pancakes, this senario may happen

The food is always superb. This is one of the best brunch spots in the Metro Detroit area. Call ahead 30 minutes before you arrive to get your name on the list during busy times. You can also make a reservation on Open Table. The only challenge is finding parking. Make sure you bring change for the meters.

Nice restaurant to go on a date. Their pancakes is always good and their service is excellent. Saturday mornings is very crowded and you will have to wait a while for a table.

We parked in front of the Cafe at an old meter no coins or cash on me. My server was nice enough to float me the coins I needed. We enjoyed carrot cake pancakes and banana and bacon pancakes, both were outstanding. Both the food and service were excellent.

Service was slow. Had reservations. Food arrived an hour and 20 minutes later. Small, cute environment. I might consider going again because the food was good and the beer was great.

Great breakfast spot. We are gluten-free. And they are very gluten-free conscious. The coffee, omelettes and pancakes are really good. They are generally always packed. So expect to wait.
