Look, I am the last person to review a bar, BUT I am sipping on their housemade draft Atwater Mule and it is fantastic!!! The biggest draw back of an ordinary mule is how carbonated the ginger beer is. Well, there is not the slightest hint of carbonation in this refreshing perfectly citrused delight. It is good enough for me to take a break and write this review. So no, Atwater is not just about beer. There is something here for everyone. For me, the Atwater Mule. Cheers!

OMG, visiting from out of town and top-notch!! Julia is an excellent server with great knowledge on beer and the company as a whole. Ordered apps, and glad we did, wowser great portions

Great beer and delicious food. Great atmosphere for a brewery too. However, the food took forever to come out. Even an order of nachos took like 15-20 minutes. But once we got our food, it was amazing. Fully recommend!

A great find while in our three-month tour of the United States. Atwater Brewery the food was excellent, make sure you try the Vegan broccoli wings and the Falafel sandwich and for dessert make sure you also try the Brownie with ice cream it is to die for!! Location is perfect you can walk to the Waterfront in 3 minutes and then take a longer walk along the waterfront with the Canada border in your view. Parking is next door and easy to access, even with a 35 foot RV. Mark the owner, Walter the manager, and Jessica our waitress were phenomenal!! service was Excellent!! and our experience was Awesome!! There is also outdoor seating if you have any lets with you. Will recomend to friends and locals to visit and will visit again.

This place was fantastic inside. The rooftop could use some umbrellas. Other than that the service was great and the food outstanding. It wasn't far from hotel by car and probably could've been walked too if you enjoy walking and follow the riverfront. I will definitely be returning here

Do NOT attempt to schedule an event herewe left four phone messages over a two week period and got completely ignored. Called the tap room and wouldn't even listen to us, just told us to hang up and call the events extension. I really wanted to have my wedding rehearsal dinner here, but apparently they don't want my money (and at this point, I'm not sure if I would even trust them to host an event for me). Take the Events page off your website if you're not going to bother to respond to customers.

Good atmosphere and great location. Walking distance to the riverfront, and other nice spots -even Comerica Park if in a good shape and willing to do so after some beers. Staff is friendly and fast. Nice selection of own beers (of course). Food selection is standard, not many different things, although there are some vegetarian options you don’t usually see. Not many pizza options, but tastes great and it comes in a decent size. There are tables outside, like literally on the street which is very nice, and there is also another patio upstairs to enjoy the sun (no food served there, only chips).

Put our name in for a table and ordered some drinks at the bar. Waited outside for 30mins for our table and told the hostess we would be out there. Came inside to ask about the wait and they forgot about us (I used to work as a host and totally understand how this can happen). Ordered another beer and waited for a table some more. Finally got sat and waited for another +25mins but never got approached by a server, even after asking the host to send us one (watched him approach a waitress and point out our table. A couple of us waived back to them during this exchange). Still, no one approached us. Bailed on the place even though we were hungry and wanted to eat. Really disappointed about the way things played out so I won't be back anytime soon even though the beer is good.
Edit: On the way out I decided to ask for a manager to explain what happened to our group of 6. The woman I talked to at the bar initially was understanding and empathetic. She was just as frustrated as I was that we were not taken care of. She said she would grab the general manager who would be able to offer something for us if we wanted to return. When he came out, he gave me a $25 coupon for future use. However, he was far from empathetic and was just hoping to brush the situation aside and move on. The guy would barely look me in the eye when I was talking to him, even when I shook his hand before I left. He didn't seem to care one bit that we were ignored.response / report this review -

Ridiculously bad service. Got a beer at the bar. Waited outside half hour. They forgot about us. Went inside. Another beer at the bar. 15mins until we were seated. Watch other people be seated and served when our party haven't even been talked too. We were seated for another half hour. Nothing. Spent about an hour and half. First time there. Never going back. There is so many other options downtown and they will get my money. Poor experience. Poor service. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.

Total disappointment for a place that used to be really good. Limited weekend food menu was totally overpriced and the food didn't even come out good. $13 for an average burger with no chips or fries, and the cheese that came with tiny portion of $8 pretzels was really cold.
Save yourself the time and dont go here until they get their act together.response / report this review
