Wonderful Spanish food! I had the squid in its own ink... It was very good and a large portion. The octopus was delicious as well. The rosemary ice cream with the fried egg plant with honey was incredible. It's not officially a dessert, but our waiter recommended it and it was stupendous.

Chef Katie Button is certainly one of the best in the Asheville food scene. Curate is one of my favorite restaurants because of the incredible flavors and aromas that come out of the kitchen. The staff is impeccable both in their service and their knowledge of the dishes they serve. I love to sit at the bar and watch the frenzied activity in the kitchen. Enjoy!

Nice restaurant. Food taste good but texture of food is where it really shines! The sandwich just the right crust hardness as you bite into the warm tasty center. Shrimps tasted fresh. The rice dish was salty though. Nice atmosphere, contemporary decor. Clean facility. In walkable part of downtown Asheville.

Excellent tapas restaurant. I have been with a party of two and eight and service has been great both times. I was happy to see they expanded since my last visit and have added a station for their Iberian pigs where they slice the plates right in front of you. The cocktails were great, I really enjoyed the apple cider drink I had(can't remember the name)
Nico took care of us last time we were there and he was very informative and made the huge menu easy to understand.

This will be a go-to when I am in Asheville, great food and great service.

Absolutely one of the best culinary experiences of my life. This is high quality food. Would recommend not coming on the weekend at night. They didn't even have a waiting list it was so crowded. Despite what the web says, it's pricey.

Our first visit. We were in Asheville for a late morning appointment. Gentleman in the waiting room asked if we're from Asheville, since we were not asked we were going to have lunch and recommended Curate. We had heard about and wanted to go. So to lunch we went and glad we did. A tapas restaurant with a unique menu. Little plates for sharing but enough flavor to feel satisfied. Plenty interesting selections to return for another long meal

Best Gazpacho I have had, should have ended the meal there. Meats were over cooked and if you have to be aware of your salt intake don't even try it! The amount of salt was well beyond reason, maybe the salt dispenser in the kitchen was broken and no one realized it? The cocktails were good, well proportioned and nice.

I hope they get the kitchen in order and get back to the "great" food everyone talks about. I could see it being there, just wasn't on the night we went.

My girlfriend and I were able to finish 6 plates for lunch and were very satisfied an extremely impressed on our first visit. They nailed every one so we gotta go back to try more of their authentic and expansive menu. Our server was easygoing while concise about making the menu items crystal clear, the language is as genuine as the food. That kitchen staff rocks.

Very cool interior. I almost felt like I was missing out by being seated at a table and not the wrap about bar. The menu was deep with delicious variety. We enjoyed great pork, shrimp, tomatoes, breads, and paella. Do not skip the mix your own hot chocolate.

Very good overall experience. We did have a reservation for 6 people. There was no wait for our table at the lunch hour. The food was delicious and server was attentive without hovering. The house Sangria was a perfect pairing. The soda of the day...Raspberry....was refreshing and delicious. The big surprise was the desserts! All were flavorful and the portions were generous. Definitely going back.

Visited mid-May. Everything we had was very good if not excellent. Had a mix of cold and hot tapas. Favorite was the grilled octopus, cooked perfectly. Sangria was great. Our server (can't remember his name) was very helpful when we couldn't decide between two tapas. Service was awesome!

I lived in Barcelona for 2 years and this is simply the best Spanish/Catalán food outside of Spain. In fact, you have to be very intentional if you wanted to find better IN Spain. They do a superb job of creating the menu based on availability of local ingredients fused with authentic, yet upper-echelon, Spanish cuisine. The concept is nailed spot on and the atmosphere makes it perfect for any occasion. The drink menu is top-notch and should not be overlooked on a visit.

Curate has always been a favorite of ours (my boyfriend and I) Typically we always sit at the bar because 1. We have never been able to get a table and 2. the atmosphere of the bar is, in my opinion, what makes Curate so special. Tonight was our first night in since the remodel and we were blown away by what they had done in such a short period of time, we were even able to get a reservation(!) since this was our first time actually sitting at table I was a little skeptical that the "magic" of the bar's atmosphere would not translate to our small dining room...thankfully I was wrong. The food, as always, was amazing (I could live solely off of the octopus) but I would definitely credit a large part of this once again wonderful experience to our server, Courtney. It wasn't until the end of the meal that we found out Courtney is a new addition to the serving staff. Her knowledge, and not to mention her pronounciation, of both the food and drink menu suggested that she had been serving there for years. But what really set her service apart from others was her kind and friendly demeanor. There's really no other way to put it other than she was truly one of the nicest servers we have ever had at any restaurant anywhere. As two people who both hail from a food and bev background we know keeping up a calm and genuinely pleasant attitude is not easy especially on a very busy Friday night, and Courtney made it seem effortless. Needless to say we were very impressed all around and can't wait for our next visit!

What an experience! It's hard to describe how many delicious things we ate, but it was a great ride. The beauty of the tapas is the variety of amazing and authentic dishes. We loved all of them. The ham selection was especially enticing. The service was outstanding - really a pleasure. The beer and wine choices were also great. Highly recommend - would come again. We came for lunch. I understand it's difficult to get in for dinner.
