Enjoyed the food and the service. This was a great brunch spot and date night adventure. We attended the dinner event and it was wonderful!! We are looking forward to doing it again and dining here again soon. Pancakes were delightful. Dinner was creative and delicious. Several unique spins on simple foods- greens, chicken, and a fun punch! Loved each experience.

We got there early before 8 a.m. so the wait time was 5 minutes not bad at all. The food was delicious. I highly recommend the Chicken Biscuit and the Crispy Potatoes. The Red Pepper Jelly is amazing. Our waitor was awesome. Also, other members of the staff were very friendly and attentive. It was a great dining experience!

We found Buttermilk Kitchen kind of last minute, just happened to be in the area and looking for something a little different. Man, what a pleasant, tasty and awesome little place!
There was a little wait but the staff was super friendly and efficient at managing everyone. Our server was friendly, our drink ordered arrived basically immediately after being ordered. The food came out very quickly for being so packed on a Sunday morning. All of our food was just amazing, each plate super tasty and just an absolutely incredible breakfast feast. Love the simplistic approached to their menu.

I was recommended this place by a friend who frequently travels to Atlanta. Was told this is the spot to go to for Brunch. Was not disappointed.. The service was great and the food was amazing. You have to try the Short Ribs Hash.. which is nothing short of amazing. This is my new favorite brunch spot in Atlanta.

Super nice staff, excellent food, and very large portions. Really cool interior with a rustic feel.
We came here on the recommendation of some locals, and we knew right away it was a very popular place. Show up early, and prepare for a wait. But DO wait - you won't be disappointed! My wife and I got seats at the bar about 1/2 way through our expected wait time, which was perfect. Wife got a short stack of pancakes and some chicken sausage, and I got the short rib hash. The food came out very quickly (within about 10 minutes). Both dishes were great, but unfortunately we ran out of room before we ran out of food! Coffee was very good, too, and they have several types of brews. Overall, we'd highly recommend Buttermilk Kitchen!response / report this review -

The food was great! Once we sat down it didn't take that long for it to come out. But, the initial wait was crazy long, about an hour or so, granted it was Sunday brunch. I would definitely recommend the pimento omelet and pimento cheese grits! I also liked the Apple pancakes, but didn't love them. And the biscuit was good, but nothing spectacular.

The food is AMAZING. We've only came once, but I can tell this will be a regular spot. I got the chicken biscuit--SO GOOD. The chicken is perfectly crispy, moist, and well seasoned. The biscuit is buttery, flaky, and has that perfect crunch on the bottom. As if that isn't enough (and it is), it also comes with fantastic cheese grits. The service was exceptional. Expect a wait for brunch on the weekends if you don't come early, but that should be an indication of how good the food really is.

Positive: really elegant but casual ambience, every dish is exquisite and the best it can be, extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Negative: this place is really good, therefore you can always expect to have a minimum of 45 minute wait which I hate. The other thing is it doesn't have a liquor license so if you're looking to have a bottle of wine or a glass of champagne you will have to do without no other option which kind of sucks but the food is so good that even without I'll go. Now you go! It's that good & I don't work there & do not know anyone that works there.response / report this review -

If I could give this restaurant more than five stars, I would! My husband and I ate here last weekend for breakfast as a part of our 1.5 year wedding anniversary and we couldn't believe how delicious everything was. The restaurant had a cute, farmhouse kind of feel.
My husband had the lox plate, ate every bit of it and was constantly raving about it as he was eating. I wasn't feeling as adventurous as him, but I ordered the french toast and devoured every crumb of it. And topping it off with PURE maple syrup was icing on the cake. We both sipped on fresh squeezed juices - he had the lemonade and I had grapefruit. And then we shared a buttermilk biscuit with homemade blueberry jam with basil. Yes, it was as good as it sounded. We're already looking forward to visiting again for breakfast! If you haven't been, put it on your list pronto!response / report this review -

I've never been in Atlanta, typically I'm just passing though. I found this location on trip advisory. I was pretty impressed. I was checked on by I don't know how many,waiters and they weren't even mine. The we're all so polite and very "on point" as I would say. Great dish too I have the pancakes and bacon and it was perfect! Thanks BUTTERMILK KITCHEN for your awesome and friendly service

My sister and I was looking for a new breakfast place to celebrate her birthday. We wanted healthy and fresh food and boy did they deliver. I think about this place every weekend. This has become my new breakfast place. The parking is so so but worth the parking difficulty.

My family and I have been loyal customers of Buttermilk for many years. With that said, I will never be back, and I will make sure I let everyone know the arrogance of this place. The only reason we patron this overcrowded little restaurant is for the chicken biscuits which are quite good. However they only sell them until 11 ( not sure why because it is by far the best thing on menu- everything else is nothing special). So today, my girlfriend and I made the conscious effort to leave early enough to get there by 11. We travelled 35 minutes to Buttermilk, battling traffic, and got there at 10:40. They were on a wait on 30 minutes. Just to confirm, I asked if they would still serve us the chicken biscuits as that was the only reason we traveled that distance to eat there. We were informed they were strictly enforcing the 11am deadline, and would not serve us if we were seated after 11. As you can imagine I was seriously surprised and upset. We made the effort to get there before 11, but because they were on a wait, we would be punished and not served the one thing we came there for. That is not how you treat loyal customers. They would do nothing to accommodate us. There is an obvious false since of entitlement with Buttermilk ( I receive their loyalty customer emails and they charge $70 for a fried chicken dinner LOL!). I guess since they were on DD&D, they think they can treat customers like that. We will never patron this place.

Worth the wait!!! When we arrived Saturday morning when was told the wait time was about 45 minutes to 1 hour. During the wait, they offered coffee and muffins, to hold you over. During this time if you this is your first time, it is best to look over the menu. I love the southern charm of the restaurant. The mason jars to the old fashioned milk jars for water. The menu was filled with southern classic dishes with a modern twist. I enjoyed the chicken biscuit with pimento cheese grits. Every bite was full of flavor and just had you wanting more!!! The only downfall is parking. Parking is limited so be mindful of the signs in nearby parking areas. You just might come out of the restaurant to a pretty yellow boot :)
