Before we left San Antonio for our trip, we debated where to tank enroute to Louisianna. Gas prices were running wild from $2.34 - 2.68 per gallon. Surely, Buc-ee's on IH 10 at Luling would be much less. Wrong. Their price was $2.589 per/gal. Filled tank with 10.76 gallons for $27.86. Picked up two coffees (House Blend & Dark Roast). from inside for $3.00. Since we were there last, Buc-ee's relocated location of coffee bar to left of store. Not as convenient. Want to confirm what everyone is saying about this road stop. Restrooms are the cleanest in Texas. Their coffee is super. Staff is friendly.

I just left this buckeys and literally could not purchase my items because my swipe did not work and this location does not accept the chip.

So they had to get a managers approval to check my ID, that’s was fine. What was ridiculous was the fact that I’m 28 yrs of age and I’m married at 23 and prego. My name was changed in 2015. Wellsfargo changed my name for my debit not my credit. My debit card is currently being replaced through the mail as the chip does now work for that card.

This is where it get interesting. I can use my card to purchase gas ($50 worth) at the cash register, but I cannot purchase $5 worth of water, mentos and veggies?? Typically I have both cards, and do not bump into this issue. The fact that he stated that my maiden named drivers liscense could not be used to purchase $5 worth of items to identify that I am truly the person I say I am was odd.. but I could spend it on gas was basically a waist of his time and energy.

I manage properties and handle sensitive information all the time. The fact that he cannot simply check and match both the DL number, birthday and image for both TX Drivers liscence cards to identify an individual was a little ignorant on his behalf. Given that this manager is older in age, i expected him to have had more experience in this specific situation.

You cannot segregate a situation by saying— you can purchase this, but not that due to card information that was proven to be someone matching the credit card.. from a consumers perspective he sounds immature in his profession. He simply needs more training; his red facial expression shown he was even embarrassed by his own decision having to stick to it after I reiterated his solutions back to him. It was like it was unusual/foreign for him to see a woman to get married and change her last name.

So, basically. Bad, confusing customer service from a managers prospective to another manager. Now we have to stop again to go some where else (which is fine) I will be calling corporate just to verify his confusing solution. I wish him luck in his profession, customer service is hard Job I hope larger situations are handled better.

Who does not enjoy a gas station filled with a variety of unnecessary items to purchase? Workers were very friendly. Even when it was crowded, we were in and out of the check-out line. Good location for a quick stop during road trips.

Place is super clean, we were coming back from camping and were hungry, we stopped for some snacks and ended up getting some monster wraps, the were great.!

Restrooms are spot clean, it was jam full when we got there, and the place was still clean, they had people working non stop.

They do have some ready sandwiches or you can order some hot Item.

This is the place to stop if you need was or food.!

The cleanest bathrooms I have ever seen including those of fancy restaurants. Seriously they pride themselves on their bathrooms and they should!

The pastrami on a pretzel bun sandwich is my favorite too. The food is fast, fresh, and yummy.

I think the gas is incidental to this place. It is an experience.

It's an attraction on any road trip in Texas. Great snacks, clean bathrooms (like I wish mine were this clean) and tons of stuff you don't need but really want.

99.99% of the time i have a fantastic experience at Buc-ee's. This was one of those times They have the best restrooms possible, the staff are all always friendly, the selection is wide, and the food is hot while the drinks are cold.
The only complaint i have ever had is not being able to pull my big rig onto the parking lot or them even having parking for big rigs. A 30 minute maximum would do great for them in my opinion as other truckers loke myself would spend their money here. I am instead forced to park along side the highway to enjoy this establishment. Oh well; I'm sure I'll get over it one day.

This store is a tourist attraction in itself. Wide variety of food, gifts, decor, and snacks. And 120 gas pumps. A great place to stop and rest a bit on your road trip.

Terrible experience! It started in the women's rest room. I had to change my baby on the changing table that was broken. I had to manage a poopy diaper, a crying baby and broken table all at once. Then there was a long line for the rest rooms. Once I finished my husband and older son had to use the rest room. Then had to wait 20 minutes for them. We grabbed some candy and a drink then headed for the cashier. She informed me she'd HAVE to charge for a refill for the little bit of ice we used to fill our water cups! .59 times 3 for a for a few cubes ice! Wow. What about customer service! We should have left it all there and walked out. Then a bee followed us into the car. We have two small kids and a husband who don't like bees! Need to take care of that. There are so many people in and out of that place and charging for every ice cube they need to fix the baby changing station, exterminator, and traffic control. Never again Bucees!!

One of the best and biggest rest stops in the USA! The "Target" of gas stations. Large, clean bathrooms. Friendly and helpful staff. They have everything you need and want when traveling. Enormous amount of food options, snacks, beverages, gifts, apparel, housewares, etc. and tons of of their own branded items. A must stop for everyone!

This used to be THE place. Now it's tiny. Lots and lots of parking. It's so close to Texas State, yet not ONE piece of Texas State product. They do have UT and A&M stuff though. Take a look at the Texas City BucEes, it's all about the beach theme there.

I guess if you're like to window shop for curiosities its interesting but you will be taxed if you buy them. I also notice they will rip you off on the energy drinks too while they pedal these no-name drinks that taste poor. Also they will hit you over the head on any food items as well.
