I went here during Octoberfest and it was amazing. I loved the beer, music, and food. We had excellent service and I had a really good time!

Great German fare with lots of international beer options including German beers on draft. The spatzle was not what I'm used to traditionally but very good. In addition to the spatzle we got schnitzel and the sausage platter, as well as the pickled eggs and potato salad to start. Everything was very well done. Come hungry and expect to leave satisfied.

We go here about once a month or so, and this place is fantastic! Authentic German food, made from scratch and super tasty. Amazing beer selection both on tap and bottled. This place is great both in summer and winter. Always good service as well!

The food is always terrific! The staff, even more so! Great German and European inspired menu with a fun, casual atmosphere. If you can't decide what to order, just ask your server and they will never steer you wrong!

Came here for brunch and my partner got a burger and I got the Wurst Teller. The sausages were good, but the eggs were raw. Not over medium, not slightly under done but RAW. The mustard was salty and the potatoes were unremarkable home fries. The salad was really just garnish to surround the mustard and ketchup containers. Salad was really just added for color since it was mostly smashed beyond a few leaves. The burger was pretty good if not a little on the small side. It had some pretty nice pickles and was a good deal at $14. The place was busy but since it's so small, it was hard to justify the wait for glasses and then again to order. This was too bad as my dining partner's first choice had just run out after our order was taken. Staff never asked how the food was and the orders took a bit of time to come out of the kitchen. Overall it was a disappointing meal.

Lived in Munich for 6 years, in Germany for 7 total; wife is from Germany. The beer selection is exceptional, but the food is overpriced and very disappointing. Spätzle were large and clumped together, a pork schnitzel (Wiener Art) for over $20 is a rip off (this should be the price for a real Wiener Schnitzel with veal). Honestly, if they just made good, normal German food instead of 'hip German-inspired' they would be better off.

Traditional German menu (and you're gonna love it!) Extensive international beer list as well and always a great staff. Come here regularly and happy that I've just moved into a nearby neighborhood so I can come even more often!

Part of me is tempted to deduct a star because I don't think Bronwyn has ever changed their menu since it's been open, which can be a bit disappointing. But with spaetzle and chicken schnitzel this good maybe it IS okay that it never changes up. The beer and wine list are also extremely deep when it comes to Germany/Austria/Czech Republic and includes many delightful hard-to-find gems. This might be the best dinner in Union Square, and it delivers much-needed German/Austrian/Czech cuisine to the area.

I really loved this place. A little expensive, but definitely worth it. The beer selection is vast, and the meals were delicious. It has a great atmosphere and was very family friendly as well.

I got the Wurst Trio, which was really excellent. The sausage is all made in-house and the flavor and texture are top notch, especially the knackwurst. They do not hold back on portion size here, and I find that many of the main dishes are too large for me. The sausage-showcasing dishes tend to be more on the "large" than "humongous" side, and I do recommend those.

This is one of my favorites. The beer list includes German, Austrian, and other European countries. You can order the boot, which is 2 liters. Food menu is Bavarian inspired and super good.

Great place with good food and brew selection. However, if it's a great beer garden as advertised, they fall short by a long distance. Service was par at best and beer selection was so-so. Overall a decent spot that is nothing special--especially if you know your Bavarian brews.

I feel like the food used to be better. It's generally pretty good, and German and Eastern European good is such a rarity. Spaetzle and big meat cuts are fantastic. Brunch is okay.
Beer selection is incredible. Amazing selection of Kirsch and other cordials. Well above average cocktails and great bar food. Nice decor and a great atmosphere.

Judged as bar, this place had a good beer selection and service. As a restaurant, everyone in my party thought the food was on the bland side, and regardless highly overpriced. Meats were near-dry; potatoes (mashed, fries) - undercooked. Paying $23 for a schnitzel is only acceptable for an impeccable veal schnitzel, not for the mediocre pork one they serve. Similarly, $25 for a bland braised brisket with barely any flavor on "garlic mashed potatoes"' without even the slightest scent of garlic is unacceptable. It was quite a disappointment for us, but again as a bar, it's definitely nice.

I've been only once but I had a great experience. The food was tasty and atmosphere was pretty cool. Good selection of beers. Staff was nice as well. It's nice to have a German restaurant around, I would go back!
