Linda Kulas is a caregiver for my mother. After a depressing period for my mother losing her husband, I tried to introduce her to a retirement home. She became more depressed and didn’t like the idea of leaving her home. She gave up her license to drive because of several incidents and that made her even more depressed. I called BrightStar Care for help since she didn’t want to leave her home. After a couple of caregivers spent a little time with her she still didn't seem happy, at no fault of the caregivers. Then Linda came along and they hit it off great! My mother became like her younger self again – a fun loving, happy person. So glad to get her youthful personality back. Linda had her playing games (like she used to do) like corn hole, WII games on television, walking, light exercising. Things that she used to do and hadn’t been doing that neither I or her friends could get her to do. It improved my mother’s outlook tremendously! Linda has so much patience with her and is always looking to help in any way. She cleans, washes linens, clothes, sweeps etc. with a very jovial and friendly attitude. My mother always counts down the days until she is there again with her.

Besides the fact they cancel shifts. Dawn is disrespectful and Does Not Like to listen to you when your explaining yourself. They are a low paying agency. Try them for yourself.

BrightStar was one (of 4) of the providers that was recommended when my husband and I purchased property and were building a home in NC. We had used a different provider prior to the move w/ average results. BrightStar has exceeded our expectations from the beginning. The scheduling (Shannon) is done extremely well. Last minute changes are handled without disruption and BrightStar continues to hire aides who are a great fit for my needs. The owner (Dawn Wagner) is always available to discuss issues, find solutions, and will accept nothing less than an excellent outcome. We work together as partners in solving issues and BrightStar does not shy away from dealing with the insurance company. I have recommended BrightStar to others and will continue to do so.
