horrible place to deal with as far as parts are concerned. ordered a rim on Monday was told it would be here on Wednesday before thanksgiving. I called Wednesday afternoon then was told it would be here Friday. I then called Friday afternoon as was told it wouldn't be here till Monday because they didn't have enough drivers. try to get ahold of anybody in management is a joke phone gets bounced around. This place sucks for parts.

Don't take your car here people, when i got my mini back my car was falling apart. I had my turn signal on the side fall out, scratches, chips, etc. I've worked for dealerships and the way they treated my car would be very unacceptable as an employee and technician.

Charged $169 to replace "a component of the air conditioning system" that was due to be replaced.

Turns out that component was the cabin air filter and I was charged labor was .5 hours to replace it.

Didn't help that they put me in a 15hp courtesy vehicle with a driveline issue.

Had bad experience with service department. Very difficult to get someone to pick up the phone let alone call you back. I had service done on my car and the problem was not resolved so I had to bring it back. Had an attitude from that guy working at the service department. I guess he was bothered by the fact that they couldn't get the job right the first time and somehow that was my fault. My advice for this location is to get some training on customer service!

Chelsea was our service rep, and my wife and I were completely amazed and impressed. We have had 18 cars together from Jags to a Cadillac, Toyotas, etc and this was probably the best out of any service department we've been to. Only one other GM dept in Washington had this type of service. Yes, the mechanics were great, courtesy wash/cleaning were amazing (and I'm picky), but Chelsea made us feel like we were the only customer they had. Guess that could be true, but doubt it. She sent us texts with updates on time, without any prompting, called for questions, and was probably the nicest person we've met since we moved to Florida. We're betting Mini Corporate steals her some day. She really knew her stuff when it came to Mini and customer service. The gentleman that helped us with our rental loaner was also outstanding, and quickly corrected a tire issue on the loaner for us. I didn't catch his name though. This service dept is well worth the 5 hour drive from Key West for an oil change and minor warranty repair.

The dealer is not the problem but Mini /BMW USA is. Dangerous and Life Threatening Condition.
    2016 Mini Cooper
This could happen to anyone who owns any vehicle manufactured by
    BMW.
Our 2016 Mini Cooper is less than 1 year old and has about 13,000 Miles on it. The front right wheel Assembly fell off the car while backing up. We were fortunate that this didn't occur on the highway where it could have resulted in a rollover accident or a fatality. Our local Mini dealer submitted a warranty claim Mini for the repairs. After about 2 weeks we were told that BMW / Mini USA warranty repair division denied the claim despite all efforts by the dealer to have the warranty cover the $2400+ estimated cost for the repairs. Our dealer reported that BMW/Mini said they couldn't determine what caused the problem as it could have been caused by someone tampering with the vehicle. They said the failure could not be determined to have been caused by a "defect in workmanship or materials" and therefore would not be repaired under the Mini/BMW 4 year 50,000 mile warranty. The dealer's mechanic reported that a nut came off a bolt that held the front end suspension assembly together. The bolt worked its way out and allowed the front end assembly to come off the car. Since the bolt was not found and is not available for examination, and all they have to examine is the nut and the vehicle, Mini / BMW claimed they can not determine why the nut backed off.

Based on that scenario BMW / Mini has refused to cover the repairs under the OEM warranty. Based on opinions from an insurance adjuster, and independent mechanics, I believe that the nut wasn't properly torqued at the factory, or that it worked loose due to improper application of the tie downs used in shipping the vehicle.

These explanations seem to be much more believable than believing that someone tampered with the car. Who would crawl under a car to loosen the front end assembly when all they had to do was loosen a few lug nuts.

What's your opinion? Please chime in!

Were you ever denied warranty repairs by BMW or Mini? I would love to hear your story.

Perhaps we have a class action suit here if BMW has a pattern of denying warranty claims. If you are an attorney interested in pursuing this avenue I would love to hear from you!

I have been shopping around for a new MINI, and I checked in with the team at Braman. After recently buying a BMW from Braman, I had high expectations for the team. Though I didn't end up buying a car from them this time, Kurt and the team were very helpful and gave me all of the information I was looking for to help make a decision. Between the great service I got on my BMW purchase and the help from Kurt, I highly recommend these guys.
