Beautiful. swim, paddel or boat over. The bunker is closed, but USCG and other historic buildings are here. Also picnic, and shorelines

Gorgeous and peaceful little Island! My sister and I️ practically had it to ourselves! A sweet path circles the outer edge (1.3 miles) and is totally worth the walk. Lots of birds, crabs and fish to see and beautiful foliage. The boat shuttle over is a sweet little ride and the operator was totally friendly and a wealth of information! Views from the West, North and East are stunning city or house scapes and the ocean beyond. Don’t miss this tiny treat!

Awesome. A 5-minute or so boat ride. You can just come over to visit, spend the day, or camp. Very nice beaches. The first building, looking like a garage with rail road tracks is the main area. From there, you can catch a tour of the coast guard station (the house up the hill), and the Kennedy bunker. The house, now a coast guard museum, is well preserved. It was the sleeping and eating place for the coast guard crews.
The Kennedy bunker, built by the SeaBees for the vacation president during the Cuban missile crisis, is a time capsule of the 1960's. Built into the side of a hill, it has an "executive office" sleeping arrangements, food and water stocks, air purifiers, and an escape tunnel.
The island is now a City Park.

Great for dogs! Glamping at its finest, hot showers, running water, toilets, beach front camping spots, fishing piers, paved walking path lit up at night. Can get very crowded on the weekends.

Very crowded on Sunday. Many boats park here and hang out. Lots of open music blasting from boats and beach people. People smoking and drinking beer on the beach. Bring food there are no places to buy food and you can't leave and come back. Great for snorkeling but late in pm or early am. Look at tide schedule for high tide before you go. Only one ferry running now but runs every 15 minutes.

This place is amazing. The water is so clear that you can see fish swimming. Great for snorkeling, picnics, camping. You must bring your own food since there are no restaurants. They allow dogs in some areas. I have not been to the bunker yet but plan to visit soon. You can also camp here during certain times.

This place is nice, you will need your own boat, jetsky, cayack, the water taxi or ferry to get there.
Very important, don't forget your water shoes.
Inside the island there is a camping and BBQ area, so if can stay overnight if you want, you have to pay a fee.

It's so fun to go on the boat here and just enjoy the day ing the water. When u get there around 9 or 10 the water is crystal clear and it's just a beautiful sight to see! Fun place to just kick back and relax on the beach with ur friends and family

Absolutely love this park! I snorkel there all the time. The water is so clear and there's an abundance of wildlife. Just make sure you go during high tide if you're snorkeling or you'll be rubbing your belly on the bottom lol

This place is amazing! It is so beautiful and serene. We had the most amazing time snorkeling and walking the island. So many different species of fish to see, and the water was turquoise and clear. Absolutely worth the money for the taxi ride over and snorkeling gear. Will def be back again.
