Very disappointed in the lodging (Edelweiss). The carpet was worn and torn in places. The closet door was broken. We ended up just leaning the door against the wall on the other side of the room. There was no fridge or microwave. All that being said the room was fairly clean, other than a few items from previous tenants stowed away under the beds. If I ever stay again it would probably be at the main lodging.
The resort is great place to visit with lot of resturants at the premises. Staff is very friendly. There are lots of free activities available for youngster and adults. You can do zip line or go to indoor water park. There also multiple pools here, all heated and indoor and outdoor. This is a really fun place to visit during summer.
I stopped in to the shops only, I did not stay here. But the shops seemed very nice. The employees were educated on their inventory and very helpful. Based on the employees in the shops alone everyone seemed really nice.
I love Boyne. How can I not? It's northern Michigan magic. Skiing is as good as it gets for Michigan.
2 issues though.
#1 The food sucks. The taco truck is insanely good but how is a food truck beating out the "fine dinning"?
#2 It's getting too expensive. I can fly to Tahoe for the weekend for just about what it costs to go to Boyne. Takes about the same amount of travel time as well.
My fiance and 4.5 year old son had a blast at the water park. We walked around some and ate at some good restaurants. There was so much to doyou definitely could stay here all week and have a different activity ylto do each day. The hotel room was clean. Complimentary breakfast was awesome with so much to choose from. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place for an adventure!!
