Lovely atmosphere! I love coming here over and over again. Food is great, drinks are delicious, and friendly waiters. This is my go to spot when I’m passing through Bellingham.

I had the cheese pretzel and the macaroni and cheese. So delicious!

Stopped in for a cask IPA and some dessert. They were out of a few things on the menu but ended up getting the chocolate raspberry torte, which was delicious. Our server was friendly and accommodating to the lack of inventory.

It was a Tuesday night, and it was pretty busy. Our server was great though. You could see him rushing around checking in with everyone. Our food was great as well. I got the vegan BLAT, and my man got the fish tacos. We both cleaned our plates. Yums.

Visited on a Sunday night, after 6pm. It was very busy and over a 20 minute wait for a table. The beer was excellent and the food was unremarkable. I had the smoked salmon chowder, which was a bit bland, and the Caesar salad. My husband had the beef burger with roasted potatoes and it was good. My daughter enjoyed the yam enchilada. The wait staff noticed how long it was taking for our food and brought us complimentary chips and salsa :)

You won't see a photo of my meal because it did not arrive before it was time to go. The people in my party made the comment that several people who were seated after us got their food order before us. Not cool. The food arrived, but not my burger. I got to watch everyone eat. Way not cool. The server said we can give you a free dessert. I was so angry I just wanted to leave. When you mess up like this you have to give a customer a reason to return. None was given.

Food is king, beer rounds out the experience. I've eaten here several times and always been incredibly satisfied with the food. My favorites are the fish tacos, Cubano sandwich, and grilled chicken sandwich. The clam chowder and nachos are also terrific. The beer has always been so-so to me, and I've tried nearly all of them over my visits, but I have friends who have thoroughly enjoyed specific beers. One downside is there's often a wait, and not just in the dining room. The bar and deck are often crowded too. The deck is a good place to hear live music at times as well. During certain times, such as the Washington Beer Open House, tours are offered, giving you a behind-the-scenes look at the brewery, not to mention free beer samples! My experiences have always been pleasant and relaxing, and I'll continue to return.

Overall really good. Stopped for lunch and sat outside during summer months. Shades was provided and made it very enjoyable, but you come here for the food, so let me get to that.
Everyone enjoyed their meal, and we had a good variety from sandwich, to salad, to pasta. Fairly typical brew pub fare. Maybe a little over priced in my opinion considering it's not a big city (gotta cover the rent) and the food was on par with similar pubs. That is only reason this is not 5 star.

Great food and great service. Had the salmon dinner it was a good size portion cooked to perfection. Can't wait to try the gf desserts flourless chocolate cake & Brulee getting both because couldn't decide!

A staple of Bellingham but a little overratedBellingham has lots of great places like this. The beer is very good, especially the imperial IPA. The food is above average but won't wow you. It's a great place to be social, especially in the summer. If you want a more honest experience, try Kulshan.

Boundary Bay is one of the best microbreweries in the northwest. Good food, great brews and live music several nights per week!

That said, tonight was the third time I've met a large group for drinks and (usually) dinner when the reservation was "lost."

Either the process of reserving space for 10-20 people is non-existent, hopelessly mismanaged or intentionally ignored. Once is easily dismissed. Twice is a fluke. Three times? Seriously?

Boundary Bay is a great place. The beer is good. The food is excellent. The service is consistently pretty good and the atmosphere is lively and uplifting. Add live music and it's a gold mine.

I'll continue to patronize Boundary Bay, but they can't be friends upon when organizing a group.

Boundary Bay has been a mainstay for Bellinghamsters for years, but sometimes we take this wonderful microbrewery and restaurant for granted.

Our most recent visit (a couple of weeks ago) was prompted by a note on Facebook from a friend in Boston who wanted me to know that a friend of his "was performing at a place called Boundary Bay". My friend hoped I knew where it was and could get over there to see her!

Well, of course, I DID know where Boundary Bay was and I DID go over to hear her The result: Great music, great food, friendly service, a wonderful evening, and a reminder not to take Boundary Bay for granted!

Stopped by this place after a random trip to the town with the lady. I always enjoyed their Scotch ale whenever it's on tap at restaurants or bars that I visit. Scotch ale straight from the brewery? Hell yes! Delicious. The lady ordered the blonde ale and it was good.

I figure this brewery would be pretty big, but it's notor maybe the amount of people there made it feel smaller? IDK, but beers were dirt cheap and that's all that mattered. We arrived during happy hour and beers were $3.5-$4! "WOW, that's a low price!" We were kind of full from our previous stop so only had one beer and left. I'd like to try their food next time as I've seen pictures here on Yelp and it looks pretty good.

Came in with my wife around 3:30pm midweek, bar was maybe half full, dining room had a few folks. The place was by no means hopping. Self seating in both areas, so we sat ourselves in the dining area. Waited for at least 10 minutes before a young lady came over (with no greeting! ), and placed menus in front of us. To add insult to injury, she had been sitting at an adjacent table no more than 10 feet from us and casually talking with someone the whole time we were there. After leaving the menus and walking off without a word, we waited another 5-10 minutes with no sign of her (or anyone else who might help us). We eventually walked out having barely been acknowledged.

This is not the first time we've been to Boundary Bay, but will definitely be the last. The service there has never been stellar, but this was ridiculous. Although there are a few worthwhile food options, you'd never know if you can't get served. The management/ownership might consider investing in some staff that care about their clientele, unless this attitude trickles down from the top, in which case people should be prepares for a long wait, indifference, or maybe even outright refusal of service.
