While the few times I've been here the staff has been really helpful, on my visit today I bought a large 1.75l bottle of rum and as I was taking it inside my house the bag ripped and the bottle shattered all over our sidewalk.

After this happened I called and the store and the cashier answered and said that he would replace the bottle, but upon returning there with a piece of it he said that he misunderstood me and that there was nothing he could do. Since I was already there I went ahead and bought another bottle, this time paying attention to the bag.

The paper bags this store uses are thinner than normal paper bags, therefore they rip VERY easily, so if you purchase something from here I would definitely recommend holding the bag from the bottom. I would not be so upset if they had not told me that they would resolve my problem, but since they didn't and wouldn't even give me a discount on a replacement bottle, I will never buy anything else from here again.

Good quality paper bags cannot be that expensive, however, I guess the owner of the Bottle Shop must favor higher profits over a slight increase in costs to help ensure their customers are able to carry the bottles they buy from them safely and effectively.
