Came here for the nutcracker. Awesome performance. Great venue.
Some tips
1) You can park at beach street garage nearby (cheapest I could find)
2) coat check is 2 $ per item
3) drinks etc are available.
4) come early. Specially if you are picking up will call tickets.
Beautiful!! Not a bad seat in the place! My husband and I saw "The King and I" back in the spring and it was Fabulous!!
We had front row center right mezzanine seats and they were spectacular! Excellent sound, view, etcI always get dressed up when I come because it is Boston and it's a Beautiful place! I do see people in jeans and I don't get that?
Look up and you'll see gorgeous paintings on the ceilings!! Charming and Exciting for a night out in Boston!!
It is one of the most beautiful and relaxing places I have ever seen in my life. I have seen about 10 ballet performances here and always enjoyed it. If you ever visit Boston, do not miss it.
I had an absolutely lovely evening while seeing "Phantom of the Opera" at the Boston Opera House. Easy to reach by train. Beautiful historic building. Kind & courteous staff. Comfortable seating. Nice acoustics.
Went to see Phantom of the Opera on our honeymoon and it was amazing. I am now a fan of Broadway. Well done and the place is gorgeous. Drinks are over prices and the seats are a little on the small side but I would recommend visiting if your in Boston. Id love to go to another show!
Amazing theatre. Wonderful show but the building itself is full of character and details. Just a beautiful facility
The Boston Opera House is an elegant, magical and exquisitely beautiful place to be. Saw Phantom of the Opera a couple if times and each time amazing! Love the Boston Ballet as well. I'm grateful we have such a beautiful theater and arts program in Boston.
Very nice. Beautiful design. I just wish the seats were staggered so the person in front of us didn't block our view. Second row balcony but the person in front of us was tall so had to lean to side whole time.
Amazing ambience. It looks great inside. We had two seats in the upper rows and saw everything.
Gorgeous! However, our seats in the balcony we're not good at all. Everyone in the balcony constantly has to move to try to see the stage. I stood in the back for the entire second act to be able to see. We won't be going back unless we can afford better seats.
Performance of Wicked very well done. People very respectful from employees, theater attendees, and officers directing traffic. Parking was easy, across the street in the garage. The price of beverages and snacks, of course, was unreasonable.
I love coming to the Boston Opera House. So far my Son and I have seen Sleeping Beauty, Nutcracker, Lion King, and Cinderella. The opera house is perfect in size and the seats are comfortable. The only complaint I have is that they sell overpriced concessions during intermission but the staff claim you cant eat in the auditorium. After you spend your money.
The venue is beautiful and very accessible via the MBTA. Had a wonderful time seeing a show there. Other than the fact that lines were long for the bathrooms (as to be expected) I didn't have any complaints. It'd worth going at least once!
The building and atmosphere are amazing. I had an empty seat in front of me for the first act of Sleeping Beauty until some girl moved forward a few rows at intermission when her friend told her the seat in front of me was unoccupied. At which point I wished the seats were staggered more or on more of an incline. I'm also unsure as to why I can't bring the Twizzlers I purchased in the lobby into the theater and eat during intermission, especially since they allow drinks in the theater.
The Boston Opera House is a stunning and breathtaking theater located near Emerson College in Boston. The display of architecture inside the building is phenomenal. Saw the national touring company production of Wicked there. What a spectacular show. Will definitely be back in the future.
