If you like history, and want to see a beautiful old farm house, then I recommend comming here. Lots of walking around as the house is full of rooms and the staff is always so friendly. Exterior is beautiful and definitely gives you that warm feeling when you walk around. Large collections of certain items like porcelain dolls are found through the house as well.

The Hiddenite Center is the premiere arts organization in Alexander and surrounding counties! You can enjoy a tour of the Lucas Mansion and learn more about the mansion itself, its former owner "Diamond Jim" Lucas, and view the exhibits or you can enjoy a luncheon, event, or concert at their educational complex just down the street. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Love this place!
