Bob's auto is the best mechanic in Tallahassee, FL. He is honest and reliable when it comes to saving you money on costly repairs. Bob definitely has the interest of his clients at heart and is always keeps his word on the price. Great mechanic for students who are at FSU because Bob's is right down the street next to the stadium. Remember Bob's Auto Repair when your car is in need of a repair!

The team at Bob's have taken fantastic care of my FSU daughter's car over the past couple of years. She's had an older car, and we have always been able to get our service and repairs done at Bob's when needed, and at really reasonable prices.
When the car finally gave out, they even helped her remove the plates and find someone to take it off her hands.

Save your self some time and money and go to Capitol city auto repair.
I've used them several times. I am Giving them two stars because they can preform simple mechanical diagnostics. I am not mechanically retarded so I typically do my own work. With that being said while I'm at school I have to rely on mechanics because I don't have access to tools in Tallahassee. The first time I brought my car in it was for a water pump, they did a good job. There were some communication issues that took that made the job take extra time. Which is annoying. The second time, which will be the last time, I brought it in for a starting issue. They replaced my distributor. That is fine because that can be a cause of such an issue. But when I picked it up one of the guys told me "it's still a little slow to start that might have something to do ith the fuel pump". I don't know what they didn't just take the time to do a fuel pressure test to have a solid answer. But the next day I had the same issue that I origanilly took it in for. I rented a pressure gauge from auto zone and low and behold the psi was low. So I replaced the pump which solved the problem. They are not very thorough when doing diagnostic.response / report this review -

I don't usually write reviews but in this case a positive review was well earned. I brought in my vehicle, a wheelchair converted van at that, on Monday and had it back by Friday. I brought it in with major scratching and a large indentation in the front fender and major scratching on the side view mirror. By the time they finished fixing it, it looked good as new. Throughout the whole process, they were very professional and friendly and kept me up to date every step of the way. Misty the owner, is a sweetheart and will do her best to make sure you walk away happy. They were also the most cost efficient place in town. Living in Tallahassee for 4+ years, I can attest to the high cost of auto repairs. Bob's with the best price in town. I would highly recommend Bob's for collision repair.

Car was leaking power steering fluid. They said the whole system needed to be repaired which was going to cost ~$1,000. I decided not to do it and i'm extremely glad. Went back home for summer and had my dad check it out, there was just a loose hose. I had previous work done with them so I imagine they loosened my hoses hoping I'd come back for more services. My girlfriend also had problems with her truck and she paid ~$900 for repairs but they told her that her truck didn't have much life left in it. She came home as well and took it to a local shop and got everything fixed with no problems. Shame that anyone would stoop down to such a sorry ass level to scam people. Don't bother with these monkeys their mechanics are garbage.

This is now my favorite repair shop in Tallahassee! The staff was knowledgeable, helpful and my overall experience was great! I was quoted for a passenger side mirror replacement for $825 by Capital EuroCar in Tallahassee. After taking my car to Bob's, the cost came out to $175 for the same exact repair. A $650 dollar difference just to get a repair done through my dealership? Talk about a scam. The staff even applies a student discount to help you get the best deal. Thank you Bob's!

Bobs is my go to auto repair service. They treat you with the most respect. They are not one of the car repair shops that want to scam you and take your money. Bobs honestly wants to help as much as they can. Very reasonable prices. Super friendly by getting to know all of their customers. Thank you for everything Bobs auto.

I am so thankful that I found Bob’s Collision. They were great! Fixed a very large dent in my Forester door like new, and all at less than half the estimate I received from several other Tallahassee shops. They (especially Misty) were professional and super courteous from the minute I walked in the door. My car, which they washed, looked shiny and new when I picked it up. I couldn’t have been more pleased.
