Although it was raining the day I visited and I didn't get to go through the orchards, even the inside shop was wonderful to browse. Had lots of "made with care" baked goods and products. Their jams are easily my most favorite for flavor, nostalgia, and uniqueness.

Best cider donuts yet! Great place to take young kids - learning station about bees & cute trivia questions throughout the orchard. Trolleys make the rounds of the orchard, so getting a lift out or back is easy, too. Pumpkin Patch across from the store. First visit, very impressed!

Had an amazing day of apple and pumpkin picking with visiting city-folk at Blue Jay Orchards. The apple variety that day was vast and delicious, the bee hive on display was certainly a high-point for my insect-loving nephew, and the treats (oh my gosh, the treats!) from the quaint country store were enjoyed long after our picture perfect day outdoors. Must try: apple cider, horseradish pickles, and the caramel corn!

We go on a field trip every year and the kids have a great time! The guide is so nice and they are so accommodating. The best part about the whole place is the Country store. It has lots of goodies and deliciousness for the fall season.

Large orchard. Great experience with my wife and kids walking to the apples and picking our own. Love it at harvest time/halloween time when they have a pumpkin patch area that my little ones love. Great products for sale inside too. I particularly enjoy the opportunity to purchase items from other local Connecticut farms like honey and Maple candy from Vermont.

This place is great. Personally, I think the negative reviews are unwarranted. Yes, the smallest bag appears small but we didn't even fill the bag all the way and got enough apples to last us over a week (we are two people and eat a lot of apples, and still have apples left over). Also, the cider donuts are magic. Treat yourself. You won't regret it.

Tons of apples this year! 2017 should be great picking for the next couple months. We'll be back frequently over the next number of weeks.

My wife and I took the kids here today. I must say there were very few people but the apples were the best. I'm saying this as someone that isn't into apples, but my family is. I go for the store and the experience for our kids. The staff has been great, they still have many great choices to select from. Very accommodating and the best part I loved, there weren't too many people. It was more like a personal experience which is great for us!

This is a great place for all of your autumn activities. I would give them fewer stars for being overpriced, but the quality here is top notch. I have had more apple cider donuts from Blue Jay's than I have had in my entire life, and I have only lived in the area for a year. If you can't find time to get out to the orchard to pick your own apples and buy fresh donuts, don't fret. You can conveniently pick them up at Caraluzzi's!
