Great place to dive and train divers. it's a little on the small side but what is there is beautiful and crystal clear. The staff is very friendly and so helpful.
From access to the pool paired with the stunning grotto, this is probably one of the best dive training locations in Florida. Dive shops from around the country come to this facility that accommodates on site lodging, gear rental, air fills, and can handle hundreds of divers at a time.
Experience was awesome. Great dive, 92 ft. Staff was ok, my biggest complaint is you don't get any lights included with a full rental, which going to a dive that requires lights to go past the initial chamber is a must. Should have included in the full rental price. One other thing is the weights are retrieved from the main office, while the rest of the gear is received elsewhere. Otherwise it was great. Definately better than devil's den.
Dive to approximately 100ft in clear water. Controlled overhead environment. A very nice place to dive that does not require cave certification due to the nature of the site. Always dive within your limits. The on site dive school can teach you from open water through cave. Excellent instructor and great staff. Please take care of the guy in the golf cart: he will be the guy saving your ass if you don't follow the rules and screw up and survive.
Great place for students learning to dive. It's the type of place though, once you dive it once there's no need to go back. It's a sink hole that is spring fed so the water is a constant 73 degrees at the surface and a 100 feet down. The water is crystal clear. For a new diver, it's fun. For someone who has a few ocean dives under your belt, its not so fun. There is another section that if you are certified, you can cave dive.
I'm 39 years old and this was my very first diving experience. The staff is amazing, they are very friendly and down to earth. I felt very confident in their competence which made for an amazing first time dive! My GF needed a much slower pace and they had the patience she needed. I highly recommend Blue Grotto simply based on our experience with the staff and I haven't even gotten to how awesome the facility is. If you have been thinking about an introduction dive, just do it!
Super nice facility, new buildings/construction, groomed paths. Great diving. A bit pricey, but worth it.
I had a great time diving at blue grotto! The price was great! The sweetest little turtle lives there and he comes out and visits divers, we had some great video footage with him, This was a great experience.
Wonderful experience. Didn't think I would ever cave dive but this place is awesome! Went to 85'.
Really cool dive site but can get crowded and cloudy. A bit expensive if you have to rent equipment and are only going for a fun dive. The facilities are fantastic, grab food to grill at one of the pavilions. Some of the rental equipment could have been nicer/newer (no dust caps and very old counsel) for the price. Be sure to be there bright and early.
This is a terrific diving facility. The staff are all wonderful and the amenities are as nice as I've seen as a dive location. The only complaint would be how crowded it was midday on the weekends (hard to avoid).
