We had the opportunity to tour the Blue Bird School Bus Factory. The factory could use some upgrading, very antiquated, and very dark in some areas.

Oh my god too many to list they work like dogs in a very stressful unrealistic unprofessional environment. They do not use state of the art equipment, very very outdated. They do not stick to a pull schedule, example if the line is down they make up the down time by pulling way faster (have seen 5 min. pulls on a unit). The employees do not have time to complete the job. The Paint booth will pull out a unit with WET Paint to make up for down time. Heck I have seen them make fast pulls on the units just to get done early and avoid paying 40 hrs or any overtime. LOL that is so expensive in warranty claims. They also break a lot of federal and labor laws ( so many to name, example they break the fair pay act law---there are employees that perform the same job task in the same dept that earn way more than the job pays. John Doe used to be a Cell Leader and bid out of the job to take a job that pays less, BUT HE KEEPS HIS CELL LEADER PAY.LETS NOT FORGET THAT IT IS RAN THE "GOOD OLE BOY" WAY..THOUSAND MORE CONS TOO MANY TO LIST!!!
