  It seems to be a good place based on the reviews. I went to this place for a hair cut, it was OK but nothing better than average. I found this salon is overated.

  A small store, but the stylists who work here seem passionate about their work. Deanna does a great job with my hair and has good attention to detail. Ever since I've started going to her I get compliments on my hair almost daily and people ask who does it. The stylists here are experienced, and I never feel like I'm "just" a customer, even on the first vist!

  One of the best haircuts that I have had. If I am back in EL for any reason I try to get back to Blades for a cut. Reasonable price and great attention to detail.

  Went to Blades as a Freshmen at MSU needing a quick hair cut and being new to East Lansing. Wanted my long hair cut into short hair with bangs and I wanted it done right. Hairdresser understood what I was going for and gave me the perfect cut.
  
  Lovely people, talented stylists, reasonable hair salon price. 10/10 would recommend.
  
  So great I'm leaving this review weeks after I got my hair cut because I love it so much.
