Food is delicious with interesting flavor combinations. Their drinks are the absolute best I've had IN Ann Arbor. However, the service could use some shining up.

Our waiter never checked on us after initial contact. A runner delivered our appetizer, and we sat there for a good 15 mins with empty glasses and plates before having to flag someone down and ask for the manager.

In that time our server came past our table, without stopping, glancing or saying a word to us, but was talking to another server and grabbed his coat to go smoke.

The manager had our dinner out promptly and comped us the app, but the complete disregard for his guests, that are his paycheck, was appealing.

May or may not try again.

Go for happy hour, get fish taco and coconut shrimp and you will fall in love. When they aren't busy ask for the tour of their hydroponic room where they grow micro greens. Amazing free tour and neat room.

It's become my go to spot in Ann Arbor lately. I've visited the place 3 times in the last 4 months for dinner and have been seated almost immediately, despite the place looking near full to capacity. The wait staff is courteous and knowledgeable about what's on the menu and what tastes great. Food is phenomenal, especially the caramel apple salmon. And the Cocktails are delicious, especially the Cajun corpse reviver (spicy as hell) and the lychee. Highly recommended place!

Very nice bar - restaurant in Ann Harbor. Cocktail menu is amazing! Foods too! With great terrasse and very good music ! Once of THE best place for cocktails and others. Go there with close eyes 👍.

Now why - 1⭐.. Advertisement is "Martini bar" but they use vermouth!!! Dry martini don't have same taste with it 😕. On 3 times in this area, 1 time girl who place people was sad face 🙁. Not good attitude when you have job with customers.

Maybe I'm rude but be sure than black pearl "vermouth bar" 😋 is in my top 3 of cocktail bar in Ann Harbor.

Big thanks to black pearl team for all. I'LL BE BACK.

Sorry I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but I sat outside at an unclean table for five minutes, no one bothered to come up and asked if we wanted anything. Asked the waitressed who was busy chatting about her future prospects with other clients at the table next door if we could get served, and was told I had to talk to the host. Why she couldn't have done this I have no idea. I went to find said host; none could be found. Asked someone else to please find host. When host emerged she said please be patient with us. I had been and I left. Place was three quarters empty and really got the feeling that they didn't want any new customers after 10 PM which is a bit odd for a cocktail bar. In the end, you can only blame the management as they need to train people up. Got the feeling it was a bunch of college students working there instead of professionals.

High top tables and bar atmosphere on the inside. Medium sized patio out front.
The food is delicous. You should eat the fish tacos. You don't have to love fish to enjoy them. Be ready for very light heat and an abundance of flavors.
The bar is very well stocked. Can't go wrong for drinks and food.

Whatever you do, don't get the Smores dessert, you will be extremely disappointed. Drinks are good though.
