Awesome service (thanks Luke) and food! Not your typical italian restaurant. Their wine selection is great too. My husband is particular about his wines amd he wss quite pleased. We'll definitely be back.when we visit Grand Rapids.

Recently had dinner and wine here and just as always the experience was excellent. We ordered several appetizers and entrees and each one was perfect. If you want flawlessly executed Italian fare Bistro should definitely be on your list if options.

Bistro Bella Vita is my husband's favorite restaurant. The food is always great. This is our first choice when entertaining because we never have to worry about the food and service. It's always exceptional.

I can understand the 5 star reviews. The food is spectacular and so is the service. However, for me the food and dining experience still wasn't worth the high prices. There are plenty other great restaurants in Grand Rapids that serve food of the same quality but for much cheaper (personal favorite would be butcher's union). For a nice date night / anniversary, I would come back again. But not for a normal meal or night out.

Bistro is always a safe bet for happy hour drinks, comfortable but creative cuisine, and good people watching. The atmosphere is typically loud weekend evenings, but it's a jovial, good type of loud. In the 10+ years I've lived here in GR, I have never, ever, had a bad meal or experience. It's consistently good and there's a lot to be said about that.
I'm giving it the highest rating because it's a great place for everything from a business lunch meeting to a date or a family gathering. They have lots of seating options. If you want a banquette or a hightop, let them know. Paid parking is directly across the road.response / report this review -

Great restaurant! Food is awesome. They messed up a bit with our reservation but ordered complimentary appetizers for us to make up for the mess up. Didn't even have to complain. That's great service!

I love this place, especially in the cold months of Michigan. The soup is great, vegan and gluten-free friendly. It's a little pricey but overall a good deal. If you go enough, you'll want to grab one of their frequent visitor cards. The 6th 12 oz soup is free! My go-to is the Saffron tomato, but I hold out for the Butternut Squash Bisque. Lobster Bisque is also very tasty, too. Cons would be how it takes forever and a day to get your food during lunch time. If the line is to or out the door, beware you won't be eating for 30 minutes or so

I just had few hours left to catch my flight at GrandRapids airport. I went to lunch a little late at 2:30 pm and the waitress suggested me to park my car in the near by parking lot. She gave me the parking validation ticket during the checkout. I hade a traditional handmade tomato basil pizza as I eat only vegetarian on Tuesdays. I asked for the best local beers and they suggested me a wheat beer (don't actually remember the name) which I personally like it. You can see the combo pic below

Chef Carl is always very welcoming along with the staff, special mention Jesse. Of course, the food has not suffered in quality, taste and execution. Flavors are just exceptional and always in tune with the season. Desserts ..phenomenal. Can't wait to be back.

Although Leo's is thought of as primarily a fish restaurant, it has also won well deserved awards for their steak. We had a large family holiday dinner here which the server handled efficiently and with good humor. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and the wine list.

Love this restaurant. I love the modern decor. Originally, it was off putting like being in a chain type restaurant. All those doubts disappeared when I tasted the food. The carbonara was made correctly with egg yolks. Yahoo, perfection. Even the wine kid ( sorry he looks like he's 16) has more knowledge than the wine bars in the area. Dinner was an excellent experience

Had the duck ravioli and it was phenomenal! My girlfriend had the pesto pasta and that was great as well. Finished it off with the pour over coffee and dessert for two, and they prepare it at your table for you!
All in all a very positive experience. Wait staff was knowledgeable and courteous, and the food came quickly and was delicious. Give it a shout!response / report this review
