This was my first honkytonk and I LOVED it. We showed up around 8 on a Friday and by 9:30 the place started to fill up. There was a live band, followed by a main stage concert and the dance floor was a spectacular show of square dancing. The indoor rodeo was a fun novelty, the sweet potato waffle fries were to die for and our bar tender was a true southern gentleman. Family friendly and tons of fun, I would go here again in a heartbeat.

Love this huge venue. Have seen several concerts here and it never disappoints. Love that they've added the paid parking lot, where you can park for $5 and just pay at the kiosk. Super close (shares the same lot) and much cheaper than valet! You get out much quicker too without waiting on valet. You can also park for $5 in the Cooper's BBQ lot across the street from BB's.

Nice atmosphere. Fun place. Historic. But the place needs some upgrades. Including the sound system. Can get really hot depending on the time of year. When its cold outside it feels like they pump in that cold air.

Billy Bob’s is always a fantastic experience, and the November 2017 Willie Nelson concert was a double pleasure!
We showed up Friday night for the concert, early enough to enjoy dinner at the fabulous Billy Bob’s kitchen. During dinner we met other nice people who shared our table and it was so much fun!
We went shopping, dancing, and enjoying Billy Bob’s. When it was time to go to our seats for the concert, someone else was in our reserved seats.
The two floor managers in the reserved seating area, Kyle and Amy, were exceptionally polite and accommodating to all as they worked to sort out why there were two sets of tickets to our seats.
We are a middle aged couple with three kids and we don’t get out much-it turned out we were there on the wrong night! Our tickets were for Saturday.
Again, Kyle and Amy could not have been more welcoming and accommodating and polite to us. They invited us to stay in the ticket to the area standing along the wall so we wouldn’t have to drive back from Forney the next night.
Ultimately, we did decide to just come back the next night so we had two great nights at Billy Bob’s! The staff and servers there are always top notch and we can’t wait to see you again.response / report this review -

I loved this place back when it first opened. Since it's turned into a tourist attraction. It's not easy to see a concert unless you pay for over priced tickets to sit in the seats, which all are not stage friendly. The DJ plays the same songs, we heard the same song 3 times in 2 hours. There are a lot if under age people that just stand around on the dance floor. The dance floor is for dancing and not socializing, management should not let people just stand on the dance floor as it hinders those that like to dance. I'd rather pay the concert price at Gexa and go dancing at Guitars and Cadillacs.

It's Billy Bobs, how this place has a single review under 5 stars is beyond me. No matter the concert, event, or night out, my friends and I always have an amazing time. Otherwise the drive from Dallas to Fort Worth wouldn't be worth it.

Classic country music venue. Saw Merl Haggard play here when I was a kid and just saw Robert Earl Keen play last week. Gotta love seeing some bull riding then go two step with your honey to your favorite artists! One of a kind spot!

Fun times. Bar and food and dance. Not great food - but was what we expected. We showed up to take it in and for $2 entry fee were able to hang and see up-and-coming superstar Chris Jansen. Great concert we just stumbled into. Saw some pretty good dancers doing the two-step. Definitely recommend for small personal concerts!

Went here for a concert. You can't go 10 ft without having something fun to do or being able to get food/drinks. The staff is amazing. I am 5ft tall and this is a standing room only venue. The older gentleman with long white hair guarding the VIP area made sure I was able to see everything,along with several other people. He was very patient with the drinks and very helpful with everyone insuring we all had a good time. Whoever this guy is, needs a raise. Very impressed.

100% hands down my #1 place to see concerts. I can't even recall how many concerts I've gone to throughout the years here. It's a concert venue that serves alcohol so expect a crowd and drunk people, it's just a given. The staff is amazing and the bartenders really know what they are doing! No, there's not a mechanical bull. There's a giant bucking bull that you can pay for pictures on. You have to do it at least once in your life! There are free dance lessons during the week too and bull riding before most concerts on the weekend. You have to check out the wall of concrete hand prints from all country stars that have visited. If you want to dance, drink, eat, and listen to great music, you have to come here!

Just read all the other reviews, and decide. My take is, you gotta go at least once, if you're nearby, just for the experience. Has to be seen.
I visited many years ago, on a business trip. Probably will not go back, but I don't regret my visit. The place is just over-the-top. Real bulls to ride, instead of mechanical ones. Three rock bands performing in the same 100,000 square-foot space, so far apart that they didn't conflict.
Most amusing feature -- the Billy Bob's "Excuse Booth."
This is (or, was, when I was there) a group of phone booths near the door, heavily sound-proofed. For a fairly high fee, you could call anyone, and choose from a list of background audio (sound of office noises, factory noises, machine shop, garage, bus traffic, whatever) to play in the background and block out the rock&roll music as you call someone and make your excuse why you'll be home later than expected.response / report this review -

$55 gets you up close and personal with Clint Black and Tanya Tucker on the day we selected. The Honky Tonk is so big with lots to do prior to the show and after.

Place is huge, there are a variety of options in regard to what to do once inside. There's pool, many bars, different stages, a large dance floor, arcade games, etc. That's all true. The first drink I ordered was a jagerbomb. The bartender never made any kind of contact, eye or otherwise, and made half the drink on the bar mat. What was ordered and specified as a "drink" was barely a shot, and $10 at that. Drinks were too costly for what they were, not made well AT ALL, and this was something consistent with the entire duration of the stay. I ordered 4 drinks from various bars between 9PM and midnight, and after that stuck to bottled beer.

Good place to visit, if your from out of town, or have not been there before. Prices are high for food and drinks, but about the same as all of the other"tourists attractions" in the area. Usually have pretty good bands playing. Dance floor is way to small, for the number of people on any given weekend night. They do have a lot of great and popular artists, and bands that perform concerts there. Ticket prices are not bad at all really.
