Been there twice and am thrilled to come back. They keep shows interesting and animals look healthy and happy.
Only wish common areas were maintained better- like refilling soap in bathrooms, cleaning and hand washing station is needed by petting zoo.response / report this review -

Before I even walked through the door I had a rude exchange with a staff member. He overheard me talking to my friend about another rescue when he decided to insert himself into the conversation and give his 2 cents. He didn’t like the “viral” rescue because of the strict rules. “Rescues” don’t bash other rescues. And what’s up with making the cats preform. You “rescue” them only to force them to be an act. I wish this center was more education based to help people respect these animals and really help them. I will not be returning.

This place is amazing!!!! The shows are entertaining for all ages. The family that runs the place legitimately appear to love and take care of these animals. The animals are like family to them and it shows. Thank you for continuing to take in and care for these poor creatures who have been neglected and abandoned. You truly give them a home and that is beautiful ❤ If you are looking for a place to donate money you need look no further than Big Cat Habitat.

Big Cat Habitat is a magical place. The love and care these beautiful creatures receive is abundantly evident. The animals exhibit no signs of stress and seem to be as curious about us as we are of them. Really cool place.

The place is full of beautiful animals, and they have spent quite a bit of money on making their habitat beautiful and comfortable. However, that has left the customer experience a little on the "meh" side. If you are a local, it's a good place to bring kids (they have petting goats), but you can go through it and complete it within 1 hour.
During the summer months is difficult to stay long because not all areas are shared, and they are usually opened during the highest sunlight hours (noon to 4).
They have free tickets for children under 3 (and veterans I think).response / report this review -

Had a really great time here - came by myself just for a wander around on a whim as I saw the sign while driving past one day.
Really loved the ability to feed some of the animals as you walk past and just how close you can actually get to them.
We don’t have any places like this in the UK bar hufe chain zoo’s. I would highly suggest that if you’re in the area that you give this a look - was good value for money and wasn’t too busy when I visited.response / report this review -

I've been here a couple of times now. I love how the animals are treated with respect and are well taken care of. They are all rescued animals. My son loves this place and always feeds the tigers. Today he also fed a bear.

Beautiful family place to visit. Rescued exotic animals that are given a habitat and a new lease on life. Some are endangered in the wild. Hear why this is, why these animals were abandoned and how they are rewarded for the little show they give you. It is as easy to train a big cat as training your collie. But don't try training a white tiger on your own.

Such a lovely place! I can feel the care from all the staff. Lots of exotic animals and a great way to get, safely, close to animals you otherwise wouldn't be able to get close to!

Big Cat Habitat is less of a habitat and more of a confinement space for animals. Though it's cool to see many species of cats and monkeys that I've never seen before in my life, to see the conditions that they are living in is downright depressing. The cats are locked in pens that can't be any larger than 15x10 for most of the day until they can be let out to the "exercise" pens, where the cats generally lazed around or paced the sides of the pens. The petting zoo was the most fun I had all day, but there were still too many goats that were kept in a pen together. The llamas (perhaps alpacas? There wasn't a sign) were kept with emus in a 5x20 ft pen, and they didn't seem happy. And I guess that's the real thing: none of the animals seemed happy. Monkeys were beating on the sides of cages to be let out, something that I've never seen at a zoo, cats paced the sides of pens over and over, and the bears just pace and sway from side to side. I think it's great that they rescue these animals, but at what cost? Is this a form of well intentioned torture? I can't say. But I can say that I will never return to the Big Cat Habitat again. I arrived feeling excited and elated to see such beautiful creatures, only to leave depressed for these animals.

Excellent facility for the big animals that need a second chance in life! You can just see the love and passion the owners and volunteers have for these animals while educating the public on what they do and what these beautiful creatures need! This facility can not afford to advertise as all the money they receive go right back to the animals in their care. Word of mouth on what they do here is what they need to continue to be successful. I am happy to provide that with this review! Well worth a visit to this amazing facility!

They take very good care of the animals. Once you pay your admission fee they have shows you can see for free. You can feed the cats and bears for a small fee. As of May 2017 the cost was 1 for $3.00 or 2 for $5.00 which I thought was reasonable. They also have a petting zoo, pony rides, and a small food stand with drinks, snacks, hot dogs, hamburgers, and other items. I did not eat there. It was over 90 degrees when we went and we really didn't feel the heat as much because of all the shade they had there. You feed the cats in a covered area which they have fans on so for both you and the cats it was much cooler than outside. I did cry when I saw them in a cage but had to keep reminding myself they would have been killed if they weren't rescued because some idiot thought they could keep them as a pet. They have a larger enclosure where they rotate the cats so they can play an exercise. They are gorgeous creatures and very health looking. Non of them looked sad to me.

From the outside, looks amazing. Couldn't go in due to my daughter's horse allergy. Checked the web site multiple times before and after visit, no mention of horses. Super disappointing because we were on vacation from Maryland and had driven an extra hour out of our way to go here. But it looks like they do good work and take care of their animals well.
