I had recently lost my food stamp card and it was due to be recharged on the 6th. It will be 10days before another card will be issued. I'm feeling humiliated and embarrassed. The lady I had spoken to on the phone was most gracious and understanding. I really would like to say THANK YOU so much for your hospitality and help during a time in my life when I didn't expect to have to rely upon such charitable organizations. I do, however, thank a God that they are in existence!! Again, thanks again with all my heart and soul! Tracy Jaggers

Bethel is a wonderful church. People of all ages creating community that is like family. Many opportunities to help the less fortunate in the church, Madison and around the world. There is a group heading to PR this week to rebuild.

It was a beautiful Christmas Eve candlelight service. Plenty of singing & plenty of children's choirs. Could not have been any happier.

We held our wedding ceremony at Bethel Lutheran on October 28, 2017, and are very pleased with how the ceremony turned out, as well as with the planning leading up to it. We chose Bethel Lutheran for their inclusivity in marrying non-members, the beauty of the church, and the great downtown location (very close proximity to our reception and hotel). Sandy kept us on track with planning, without having an overwhelming number of to-do’s (much appreciated for a couple planning a wedding!). Linda was very helpful in navigating us through the options and choices for the ceremony, and helping us think through some of the details we had not considered – all well in advance of the big day, which made the rehearsal and ceremony run very smoothly! Gary’s organ music was fantastic, and we especially appreciate that he was able to play an “off-menu” piece that we requested. And last but certainly not least, Pastor John provided assuring pre-ceremony guidance and conducted a great ceremony. Thanks to everyone for helping make our wedding such a success!

Has one of the best food pantries as far as food. you get more quantity of food and I even got a big 12 oz packet of starbucks coffee, great selection of diverse choices of sufficient meals, foods to cook and even has microwaveable ones and has canned good meals even like ravioli and etc besides that hygiene products and toiletries are available. you can go there once a month and call them at 9am first so you can go to the pantry between noon and 3pm.
