They block everything and when my friend died from a car crash it was like the only people who cared were his friends the school did nothing to help out but when a football player die its on the front page of the newspaper and all on bdtv just goes to show you what schools really care is things that benefit them.

I graduated class of 2016. The school isn't that bad. There's a lot of classes there from basic classes to AP/ACP classes. You can choose from a huge range of classes to be in whether it's orchestra to studio art to culinary to AP Chemistry to AP Calculus BC. It's a huge school and yeah it's a bit over crowded with probably 3000 students enrolled but it gives the student the opportunity to do whatever they want academically. Sure some students can be well not the best and bad influences but don't all schools have students like that? There are teachers who really do care about their students and will be perfectly okay with having a more personal conversation with you. It's honestly not a bad school as long as you make good decisions and know what you're doing.
PS you better know what you're doing when selecting classes and going to see advisers/counselors because some of them don't know what to do and will hurt you rather than help you (academic wise).response / report this review -

When I was in tenth grade girls wrote on the bathroom stall that me and some other kid were the biggest BD thots and that I was sucking my boyfriend and his bestfriends D---. I was a virgin and I was in no way sexually active. No one cared other than a teacher she wrote a report and I wasn't called down. They don't care about your well being. Teachers will pass you if you're not paying attention to make themselves look good but wont help you when you're struggling. Only good teachers were ms. howey and mrs. maiers and mr. schwanekamp. There's several violent fights daily. If you accidentally step on someones shoe you'll get sucker punched. The school is ghetto. Me and my friend stayed after school and dudes kept asking us to suck them off. This school is trash. Hopefully the weather tears down the school this year while I stay home peacefully asleep. Also the principal is really sweet I have nothing against Miss Squire.

BD honestly prepared me for life. Yea, it was crazy sometimes but that's how it is in the real world. BD taught me patience and to stayed focused on my goals. And I did just that. I played baseball and we won sectionals for the first time in 18 years! I graduated with Honors in 2014! Thank you Ben Davis!

As a person who graduated in 2015 I can say that I loved BD. There are so many different classes and clubs to join and although I just graduated with honors I knew a good dozen people who graduated with either certificates or with their associates degree. Now, there are many students who are rude and don't care but the security and vice principals ( theres a few) are always in the hall watching during lunch hours when most of the fights I saw broke out. Overall it's a great school and all my teachers were kind.
