Stayed the night and the view of the Mackinaw Bridge at night was great, the sunrise was beautiful coming up over the islands. Rooms were clean which is always a plus. Close to Mackinaw City and many places to eat and grab your Mackinaw gear.

We had the hotel booked for 3 nights and the AC & internet were not working. The hotel kept on saying that they would fix it, but never did. On the 3rd day after multiple follow-ups, I asked for a refund and the lady in charge over there started creating a ruckus in front of the other customers. Stay Away.

This place was a huge let down. Besides being remodeled 30 years ago there was a spider issue . Toilet to fit a kindergartner. Outdoor furniture old and brittle. Goose poop everywhere. The best part of my stay was when I left. Yuck !

DO NOT STAY HERE! Stay here at your own risk the service was terrible and the rooms are very old and musty. First of all we showed up at noon looking to check in, the manager told us to come back at 3pm because they didnt have a clean room yet. After we came back at 3 she (the manager) told us to come back in a hour because it was still not ready after waiting another hour we came back in the office and got mistaken for another couple with a similar issue, she told us that we needed to pay again but obviously had us confused after arguing with her for 30 min about a credit card issue she told us our room was ready. The rooms a very simple and overpriced nothing works correctly inside the TV FRIDGE And AC make a very loud noise and there is no shower nozzle so good luck. Stay here if you really have to but I would run for the hills.

Our hotel room had a very bad smell. Bathroom was not clean. There were many mosquitoes near the hotel. And there location in Google maps is wrong.

The room is very outdated and there are a lot of stuff that is falling apart. The shower head was to low and I'm 5'3". But the veiw is amazing, the location is great, the pool was really nice and i like that they have a beach with fire pits!!!

I have stayed at this motel twice and the first time was fine minus the heater catching on fire while we were asleep. However, the second time was absolutely terrible. When we first walked in, there were dead bugs all over the floor and spiderwebs all over near the back door. We decided to look past that and stay anyway because it had such a nice view. The shower head wasn't even tall enough for me or my wife to shower (she's only 5'5" and I am 5'9"). So in order to shower we had to bend over. But it gets worse. Our last night there, at around 11 at night, my wife and I went to take a shower because we had been outside all day. The water would not get warm so we called the office and told them. After a few minutes, the female owner came and tried to fix it, but couldn't so she called her husband who is also a owner (his name is Gary). He came down and messed with it for a short while and then told us that it was going to be at least two more hours of it could even get fixed at all (by this point it's almost midnight) so we just kindly asked for a discount or refund for our inconvenience. Instead of giving it to us, or even offering to compensate is in any way, he become VERY agitated and called his wife and told her to "check us out" and then told us to pack our stuff and go to the office. I told him that wasn't happening and he can't kick us out for asking for a refund, and he become even more agitated and would not get out of our room. After telling him to get out of our room multiple times, he finally decided to leave. After he walked out, my wife closed the door and before she could even lock it, he has swung around grabbing the door and throwing it open which flung her into the wall. He continue to push the door on top of her until I grabbed it off of her and when I did that, he twisted my wrist around as if he was trying to break it and told me not to "slam the door in his g**damn face" and then told me to "shut it like a gentleman". The whole time he still has my wrist in his hand very tightly. I repeatedly asked him to get out and told him that we would be calling the police. After a few minutes he finally left and we called the police. We got the entire thing on video, so there was no "he said she said" stuff. Be careful staying here. He is incredibly unstable. He definitely shouldn't own a motel.

I'm sorry to say that I cannot give this motel a good reference. The room was not clean. When I pulled the bedspread back, there was blood on it. The window sills were very dirty and covered with bugs. The air conditioner was so loud that we could not sleep. This was probably caused by the filthy a/c filter that had probably never been cleaned. The shower was very weak. The only positive was the view of the lake and bridge. We paid $140.00 per night just to sleep and we got no sleep. The mattress was old and hard. The pillows were very old and only about 2 inches thick. I saw the blood as I was checking the bed before checking out. Had I seen it before, I would have check out the first day.

This motel is very family friendly. We have been staying with them almost every year for the last 20 some years. The prices are very good and they staff is welcoming. Some of the rooms are a bit dated. I feel that just adds to the charm. It doesn't look like every other hotel room across America. They have a beach with fire pits and they supply grills for their guests. They have heated pool and playground for the kids. It is our home away from home in Mackinaw City. Oh and you have a beautiful view of the Mighty Mac!!
