Very slow service. Waited over an hour to even order food once we were seated. Stuffed mushrooms came out cold. Portions are way to small for the price. The cost of pasta is too cheap to justify the pricing of this place. I am not impressed and do not feel I got our money’s worth.
This place is absolutely amazing. Great service. Defeintly great food!! But not super filling, as an America, I’m hoping for a larger portion size in the future.
This was awful! I've been to this location before and it's normally good, but I came last week and it was a miserable experience. First, our waitress was very rude and seemed to be condescending to us. I ordered the chicken parmesan and my date ordered the shrimp scampi. I believe my dish was $16 and hers was $19. My order was very small, and came with a minuscule amount of pasta. Her shrimp scampi also came with a tiny amount of pasta, and the shrimp were not good. Hers was doused in what tasted like garlic. I didn't want to cause any upset because it was a date, but that was just BAD. I thought the point of a restaurant was to have your food prepared by professional cooks (especially when you pay an obscene amount of money!). I could have made better in my own kitchen for significantly less money. Avoid! Do not go if you don't want to be ripped off for tiny, gross portions.
Edit: I never write reviews this was just such a gross waste of money for nothing that I had to let the world know.
Do NOT go here. I repeat, do NOT go here, ESPECIALLY if you are hungry. Is the food tasty? Yes. However, you will get the most ridiculously small portion sizes charged at $17-18. And this is coming from a fairly petite female. And this isn't just me, my boyfriend also got a terrible portion size. We ordered the Cannonelli and the Eggplant Parmesan. I don't mind paying, but if you're going to charge that price at least give me something to eat! I had to get food elsewhere after dining in.
The wait was a little longer than they said it would. BUTwell worth it! Bubble Bread, lasagna, fresh Italian bread, French onion soupall divineand that was jyst MY dinner. Service was excellent. Definitely a "must go" restaurant.
Over the top service with fantastic food in a vibrant atmosphere. Portions are smaller than you'd get at a chain store, but that leaves you with plenty of room for your dessert. Had seven in our party and everyone was completely happy with every part of our meal.
Excellent food!! Large drink menu. A lot of atmosphere. Service was good and waitress very knowledgeable of the menu.
Excellent food! Service was very good until after we ate our entrees our server got busy with other tables and forgot to bring the 2nd glass of wine I ordered. I had to get up and find another server who promptly got my wine. Also during their busy times on Friday and Saturday it gets quite loud in both rooms.
Service was good, but not extraordinary. Food was very good, but also, not extraordinary. I'd recommend this place for what it is. Prices are just over what you'd expect to pay for what you get. But still worth it for a good Italian meal. Definitely just barely missed the 5 star mark.
Very hip and artsy atmosphere. Attentive, friendly staff. Eggplant rollatini was fabulous. Bubble bread, delicious. Dessert divine.
This place is special to us. We moved to Tallahassee 4 years ago, and we moved around the time of our dating anniversary, so we celebrated at Bella Bella 4 years ago, and we go back every year for our dating anniversary, and it's always so wonderful. We try to get whatever is on the special menu, and it's always unique and fresh. The wine is also very tasty! You can't go wrong with Bella Bella, whether it's a weekly visit or a special one like ours. Love this place!
It's a nice restaurant for a romantic dinner. The food is okay, we ordered bubble bread and canelloni. The best part was the dessert, they have an amazing Amaretto infused almond cake. The bad part: we were sitting outside, I felt something on my foot and all of a sudden I had a huge cockroach crawling on me. The only thing the waitress did was to say " it's because you are outside, I promise we are a clean restaurant". I lost my appetite but we decided to stay. When we were ordering dessert the cockroach returned. The waitress just stood there The host told me to wash my hands We decided to leave.
Preface: I haven't tried every Italian restaurant in the Tallahassee area.
Bella Bella serves very good food. During my last two trips to Bella Bella, we were seated right away, provided with waters, and were able to have our orders taken in short order. The Bubble Bread w/marinara dipping sauce is delicious and a perfect appetizer to share with a date before the main course arrives.
Most recently I ordered one of their simplest dishes, Spaghetti with meatballs. It was well portioned, well seasoned, well plated.
My only rationale for giving four stars instead of five is wondering if there is something better in Tallahassee. I've had better Italian in less populated cities.
If you're looking for a well priced delicious meal, with quick service and comfortable seating, Bella Bella would be a great choice.
This is an amazing little place. Understated rustic without being kitschy. The food was very good and in portions that did not over fill but satisfied everyone. Our server Jamie was the best part of it all. Very pleasant, cheerful and always there just when you needed her. Whether it was for a refill or to remove clutter in preparation for the next course she did it all.
