The Eclipse Event was well organized, efficiently run, and free! Parking was a bit far (about a mile?), but the hike across the park was pleasant. Of course, the TOTAL eclipse was spectacular. THANK YOU, Bear Trace, for hosting all of us.

Well its got the grand canyon mixed with the tropical rain forest and sandy beaches rolled all into 1 to make this a nice little adventure

Outstanding golf couse. Holes play extremely well with the contour of the land. This was my first time but definitely not my last time.

Course was interesting and designed well as is expected from a Nicklaus design. The course maintenance was good and the greens were smooth and putted true. During wet conditions the course is a mess in some places. The extreme dampness dampens the overall enjoyment of the course. Price was good and overall the experience was good. I would play again only if the conditions are drought like.

Turf subsoil doesn't seem to compact well or be suitable to compaction, consequently during wet or damp weather seasons, the fairways cannot be mowed and so the fairways play like rough. Many shots landing in fairways plugged heavily. Likewise the green surfaces were quite soft and subject to scars just from shoe prints; pitch marks were deep penetrating half a sphere of the golf ball. Course layout, fairway generosity, and woodsey privacy are superior here. Otherwise well maintained and good for walking when dry and firm. Full length cart paths when damp are most convenient.

great course! ! very difficult. slope is accurate. walkable if you're in decent shape. looking forward to playing it again one day.
